i need snow, gotta test the new shaft lol

car park here is coverd but its a bit dubious about having enough room to get around, tempted tho lol

richiewong 21 February 2005 05:21 PM

Glad the cars fixed Micky, sounds like you may need a high pressure header cap if you're losing coolanthttp://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/images/smilies/ponder2.gif

StickyMicky 21 February 2005 05:33 PM

its coming from the header tank itself!
i saw a tiny pinhole from the part where the cap screws on, the tube thing it screws to joins the main tank and its went at the join

strange, forge will do me proud :D

SUBTYPER 21 February 2005 08:54 PM

Well another fun day driving a 7.5ton rear wheel drive TNT wagon around Alnwick, Boulmer and Belford and all the untreated twisties that are a bit straighter now. Cant wait to get the Type R back on the road.

Martin you cant say things like that on the this BBS Thingy. What you should say is nice to see you enjoying the controllability of your car in a nice and safe empty carpark. Not the field at the NBO LOL.

Nice to see you back Paul. Have you got the corsa sorted yet.

Also very very big welcome to Clare. Another female member. If we keep going like that we can start the WTTS. (Womens Tyne Tees Scoobies).

stockcar 21 February 2005 09:11 PM

must of mis read that John.....................
could of sworn it said "with T%TS........................????

or have i just got that wrong??
LOL

Ninnybobs 21 February 2005 09:40 PM

SubtypeR,

Are you trying to tell us something? From your welcome to Clare, you make it sound as if you are of the femine nature. Would you like to clarify?

;)

Richie.. how did you play your STi back box with the insurance peeps.... The wifey (to my gobsmacked surprise) has said she'll get me one for my birthday in a few weeks but I don't know whether I need to declare it to Norwich Union with it being a Standard Scoobie Part (albeit not on a WRX!)

Paul

STi Paul 22 February 2005 11:35 AM

Hi all,
Living in Newcastle area and had my my99 green scooby for about 2 weeks now and loving every minute of driving it...and looking at it!!!.

However, some advice please, as it is still under warranty (12mths) where would you lot recommend to having it serviced, CD BRAMMAL is quite close by (Benton) but is just a new franchise so will they have time served scoob technicians/mechanics, has anyone used them.

And also, im in the process of trying to decide which gauges to buy for the scoob, not greddy though as they are way too expensive so can anyone recommend a set of gauges and also a place that will fit them, have had dealings with revolution motorsport and seemed to be ok..

Many Thanks
Rick

Ninnybobs 22 February 2005 01:34 PM

Hi Rick,

I think most of the guys on here would recommend both Revolution Performance Motorstore and AS Performance in Birtley. Both will sort you out a good deal.

Why not join the rest of the Tyne Tees Scoobies at their monthly meet on the first Tuesday of each month at The Dun Cow, Bournmoor (Just off the A1 Chester le Street junction). Meet in Carpark at 7:30pm.

Cheers

Martin

carwash takings are down, down, down due to the snow

i made £2.46 commision yesterday PMSL £9 on sunday and £10 today
least the valets are still steady :)

im told the car wash will go nuts as soon as the snow all thaws out compleatly :D

StickyMicky 22 February 2005 06:57 PM

CD Brammel is a load of WANK IMO, they wont even talk to you unless they think you have a uk car (i park mine round the corner and use uk chassis numbers)

goto revolution or as performance or sumthing for service work
does it need a good valet :p

Ninnybobs 22 February 2005 07:35 PM

Gravel,

Boro meet is still on for tomorrow

Cheers

Martin

SUBTYPER 22 February 2005 07:48 PM

Hi Martin and the gang.

I thought you knew Martin I am definitely a lesbian (NOT INTERESTED IN GUYS AT ALL)ask any female LOL.

Cant agree anymore with what Mickey has said. CD BRAMMAL are a Waste of time. They cant even give you 5litres of oil without a chassis number. I have been using Gilesgate and Dennis Common. They both know I got an import and aslong as i know what I am ordering they dont mind selling me it.

Cant make the Triple Six meet still waiting for some fairly lairy parts coming from a couple of suppliers for the TART MOBILE.

Richie Did the funds go into your Swiss Offshore bank account.

Paul you gonna love it when that white stuff gets your way. It was snowing pretty heavy around the Morpeth area but when you get to Seahouses and Boulmer not a spot.

Mickey you need to get a franchise up near Alnwick loads of filthy cars up there matey.

Had a fantastic laugh today. Was parked delivering in Alnwick and a woman reversed her Rover 45 right into the steel reinforced corner of my wagon. She then got out and checked the car missing the 2 foot gash she had ripped open in her left rear wing. I quickly pointed it out and said as there was no damage on the wagon we should exchange insurance details and get some pictures of the damage.

This is the best bit she replied AAAHHH Dont worry about it. Its my husbands Car.

martyrobertsdj 22 February 2005 08:10 PM

One long holiday??

You're just jealous!!!! LOL

12 hours a day, 7 days a week for four weeks......nee holiday .....honest!!!!

I miss half of the TTS meetings and usually anything else that I might be even slightly interested in!!!

We've left Las Palmas now and are en-route to Norway. No stops along the way.

Ah well!! Just think of the money!!!!

Marty

Ninnybobs 22 February 2005 08:29 PM

Marty,

Only 12 hours a day..........that leaves another 12 hours to top up your tan ;)

Are you going to bring your mates anything nice back with you?

No problems with just the back box, didn't cost anything extra with Admiral.

John, can't access my bank account online, Barclays seemed to be knackered at the minute.

Agree with Micky, CD Bramell are sh1t, even have a notice up in the parts dept telling them not to sell to imports:mad:W@nkers
Also had the part number for the Prodrive battery brace and they started to question me Gestapo style about how I got it and that it didn't exist.

Got to Revolution or AS Performance(Alyn Stockton - stockcar)
