Ok......in "The Channel" now ...still Norway-bound.

Snow, big waves and generally pap weather.

Hard at work, watching videos, as the weather has been deemed too bad for us to be out on deck!!!!

I've even been in the gym.......SHOCK - HORROR!!!!!

Martin............fancy thinking that this isn't proper work!!!!! LOL

I'll give you all a wave as we pass level with TTS land.......get your binoculars out and watch for a big blue ship with a big round grey "wheel" thingie in the centre of it and a "slopey thing" on the back of it!!! (technical terms I know, but I'm sure you'll understand!!!)

Updates tomorrow!!!

Marty

SUBTYPER 27 February 2005 06:56 PM

Does that mean you are on a Aircraft carrier and if it is is there any chance we can do some quarter mile times on deck. Would be a cracking first for the TTS

Cool Did I do well Paul As I never managed to get still got the Delivery guy delivering all these lovely go faster bits for the car. Just shows how well my car does I can have it parked on stands with a few really need bits sent away for modification and still get it on the rolling road LOL

Ninnybobs 27 February 2005 07:25 PM

It is true, SubtypeR should have been on the rollers this afternoon. There were a lot of people didn't turn out for one reason or another.

I do recall a shout going out for the 'tarty scoob with tacky dragons on the side' ;) could only have been referring to one person!!!!!!!!

There were some unexpected results today, both high and low. Very interesting really.

ive had a ******* day as well

what i thought was a leaking dumpvalve has turned out to be not
and my car is down on boost

with the dawse device fully screwd in im only getting a peak of 1.15 bar or so

need to check all the intercooler pipe work tomorrow, replaced the dawse pipes and cleaned it out, to no avail

i have a spare actuator in the garage if it is that?
only other thing i can think of is the turbos dead (but it still boosts??)

removed my winter wheels now tho, so the car looks nice again on its legacy rims :D

PhilGEvo 28 February 2005 08:21 PM

So what the hell does that thing do....?

Ninnybobs 28 February 2005 11:06 PM

Marty,

So when do you actually start working.

If it takes over a week to get there and a week to get home, do you just turn around when you get there and come straight home? ;)

Martin

stockcar 01 March 2005 08:18 AM

morning all.......................

martyrobertsdj 01 March 2005 08:29 AM

"She" is a pipelay vessel.

See Here for a few details.http://www.subsea7.com/cms/album/full_326.jpgThat's the pipe in mid air between the ramp and the reel.

Oh by the way.......*waving facing a bit south west*.......we made good progress overnight and we are now level with somewhere like Dundee.

It doesn't usually take so long to get to work Martin!! Anyway....I'm at work as soon as I leave home (for pay purposes). I normally join in port, during a job, but this time the vessel was in transit between Africa and Norway.

The weather is pap and I miss load of Scooby meetings....boo hoo!!!

Marty
