PCB, It Looks fantastic and I will definatley be interested in buying one when it will work in my jap imported MY95.

Squizz 09 December 2002 01:15 PM

I'm currently investigating if the single din unit (intended for MY01> ) will fit in a centre gauge pod in my MY99 saloon.(And therefore any Impreza with the original centre oddment box). Looks like I'm going to have to buy one of the Scoobymania pods. About £90!

Thanks to Simon/PCB for the loan of the din box. ;)

Squizz 09 December 2002 01:18 PM

Oh yeah...

I've had the privilige of seeing this baby in action. This is THE Impreza/WRX item to have. :D

Matt Churchill 09 December 2002 04:53 PM

The other option may be, to have the same unit on the celing, as some people do with Apexi boxes etc.

RRH 10 December 2002 10:40 PM

how far off is the pre-97 version (STi2)

simon:D

PSI3 10 December 2002 10:47 PM

RRH, we are hoping to have the pre '98 ready soon after Xmas.

Phil 10 December 2002 10:50 PM

I have mail now;)

LoFi 10 December 2002 11:48 PM

Thanks Simon, no email yet but then I did email you back in early November so my messages may have gone astray. I'll re-email the e-thread.

Wiring could be a pain, but perhaps a version to fit in the sunglasses holder?
How about a 'handheld' version for those of us that want a 'stealth' install rather than altering the car?

DubaiNeil 12 December 2002 12:16 PM

Sorry to add to the pressure, but is there any idea as to expected date of availability? I am in the market for one of these! (along with most of this board!)

RT 12 December 2002 01:11 PM

Simon,

Am interested in getting a 1-DIN unit. Will it work with a JDM car? Mine's a MY01 JDM STI type RA.

Cheers!

PSI3 12 December 2002 01:13 PM

Neil, the units will be available start of January 2003.

Simon

PSI3 12 December 2002 01:36 PM

Hi Ryan, i did send you an e-mail earlier, i will re-send it later.

simon

bigsinky 12 December 2002 04:45 PM

well that answers my question of what to put in the spare din socket above my head unit.

PCB - how is the pre 98 software coming on?

cheers

big sinky

Markus 16 December 2002 02:27 PM

Quick question about these lovely things. Could I have one of these (MY94 WRX Wagon) instead of a KnockLink and LambaLink? and if so, how would I know if the knock/lambda values being displayed were 'bad'? Obviously no little green thru amber (ok yellow!) to Red LEDs on this chappy, just a bar or value (correct?)

Sorry to be a pain! :D

Puff The Magic Wagon! 16 December 2002 02:36 PM

Well done PCB - Looks lovely :D

I want...

Can it be done to fit in a MY99/00 binacle, using the Subaru "instrument pod" ? In that case it would just be a direct replacement for that useless cubby thing on top of my dash

PSI3 16 December 2002 03:22 PM

Pre '98 cars we will be sorting out in the new year,

Puff, we are just sorting out a pod mount version for the "classic" shape to be fitted in place of the binacle. YHM ;)

simon

Puff The Magic Wagon! 16 December 2002 03:49 PM

Not yet I don't ;)

Puff The Magic Wagon! 16 December 2002 04:58 PM

Now I do :D

& so do you ;)

beanchimp 16 December 2002 06:52 PM

Are these available yet for a MY00 ?

austen_wrx 17 December 2002 07:57 AM

Sorry if i have missed this reading through the thread, but will it possible to be used to measure the air/fuel mixture (so not to have to by an AFR aswell?)

PSI3 17 December 2002 07:03 PM

All cars currently supported and available facilities will be listed on our new website which will be launched very shortly.

cswminty 18 December 2002 09:28 AM

Looks like the easter bunny is going to have to visit early with one of these for me !!!!!

Let me know when the '96 versions are released...Thanks

jmca 18 December 2002 11:34 AM

Simon,

Looking really good.

Johny.

Squizz 20 December 2002 08:42 AM

Puff - I'm investigating this option m'self and I think the official Subaru pod may be too small, whereas the Scoobymania version is not only bigger, but a much better match for the rest of the dash.

Like one of these:

The finished article will look stunning. Keep an eye on this, I may get someome to mock-up how it'll look ;)

PSI3 20 December 2002 09:05 AM

We will be supplying a pod version for the classic car and it looks most likely we will use a Scoobymania pod ( talking to Mike at present ). It will be supplied as a complete unit with a custom front panel to suit the pod.

Puff The Magic Wagon! 20 December 2002 10:27 AM

Does look good - I can't wait :D

Convinced & impatient! ;)

Squizz 20 December 2002 03:34 PM

The MY99/00 style pod will look a little something like this when supplied by Psi3. Obviously, Simon/Psi3 may alter the finished look slightly, so this is purely a guide.

Keep an eye on this thread or on Scoobynet in general, for news of the website release very soon. ;)
