why spend a fortune turning the PC into a good gaming platform when there are dedicated gamers on the market for a lot less? You gotta get into the mind of hardcore gamer. frame rates, benchmarking, overclocking all form part of this mindset. always with the bigger, better, faster. as long as these people exist (and i am on the periphery (sp)) then manufacturers will always have a market for their goods. cheers big sinky |
its a phase people go through
we've all been there :) |
£250 +VAT or inc VAT?
|
inc VAT and i could be seriously tempted away from nVidia :D
cheers sinky |
See what happens waiting on email
Si |
Interested at the right price ;)
|
could be interested for 2x cards at the right price, what about prices for RAM.
Mog |
Ill have a price tomorrow
its out the Gigabyte or Saphire i think. Si |
Sapphire @ £240.00 + vat
Gigabyte @ £263.00 + vat  **** |
I was having a nose around to check prices out and was suprised to find that http://www.theoverclockingstore.co.uk/ has ceased trading
Not a bad price. About same as you would pay for a 128mb model. [Edited by Daz34 - 7/29/2003 3:52:55 PM] |
£240.00 + vat for a 256MB?
|
If people fking read [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] :)

Your loss not mine, next time lighten up with then :)
|
Just to add.
Being contacted by someone else about supplying the cards ;):) |
so we're basically losing the equivelent to the VAT on these since they're £280+VAT online and the group buy will be £282inc VAT
Sounds like a reasonable deal. |
oh are you interest then in this?
I still thought it was a little high. Someone else has contacted me after viewing this thread. Ill wait and see what he comes up with. £20-£30 cheaper would be good :) |
si - I would be interested, but I've seen them on-line for £272
(pcnextday - sapphire 9800pro 128mb inc vat/postage) £250.00 would be really good... ;) alan |
Sorry, just thought you was a bit sharp. :D That's all morning with no caffeine.
|
Nar rik lol I didnt mean it spitefully or anything.
When did you see it for £273? Si |
si - is the £273 addressed to me??
saw it on Kelcoo first, then checked on www.pcnextday.co.uk http://www.pcnextday.co.uk/product_d...PAT&pgroup=VID then I saw this on EBAY - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ory=27387&rd=1 not sure on import/vat implications of that one tho' ?? alan [Edited by albob - 7/29/2003 11:23:42 PM] |
£268.84
|
i'm losing track here, is that a new deal?
|
nar i just followed the above link
|
oh i see, then the group buy is gonna have to do better then :)
|
precisly why ive just emailed them :)
can i add you to the definite list now then? Si |
no, add me for definate once i've seen the price and said "please add me for definate", hehe
dont worry, I apreciate the agony of group buys, i organised a very sucessful knock and lambda link buy but not before answering loads of questions about whether it'll fit my "MY69 moon buggy" |
lol yeah its getting quite frustrating atm.
I wanted it asap too  Si |
well its worth waiting for a good price, if you want one asap then go buy from nextday i think, thats one hell of a deal! the 9700 pro is a awesome price too!
|
AAARRRGGGGHHHH Tooo bloody confusing,
Edit to take away everything I said earlier :o Andy [Edited by Fuzz - 7/29/2003 10:52:19 PM] |
