30th.. nice one! praying for dry weather, my Scoobs boots are naff.

will prob be somewhat slower through the tighter corners - but judging by current performance may make up some good ground othewrwise (pulls very strongly now and its not remapped yet :) )
will prime the g/f for the end of the month then!

oh and Marv, despite working on the edge of Derby i don't know where the McD's is, but i'm sure i'll find it!

Kev - I'm sure you'll find the start point m8 but I'm sure some IT wizz on here can post up a map thread (??) ;)

No one should get lost - I've even got colour maps for most people, certainly enough for two to each group of 3 0r 4 cars!!

:D

BlackScoobyWRX 05 November 2003 07:15 PM

In Disguise - you'd better just follow one of the groups m8 if you're map reading is that bad !!

BlackScoobyWRX 06 November 2003 06:31 PM

Dave - thanks very much m8, you're a gentleman :)

BlackScoobyWRX 06 November 2003 06:33 PM

Kev - still working on the dry weather m8 but can't promise anything !! :D

To reiterate tho - this will be good wet or dry, it'll just be even more testing in the wet !!

HE WHO DARES WINS !! :D

Steve777 06 November 2003 07:06 PM

Marv,

Great starting place. Only about a mile for me to travel again

I bet it was your kids idea to start at McSalmonella's ;)

I don't belive that you won't be washing and polishing your car before this either.

;)

tried it b4 but usually end up crashing the car as the map keeps getting in the way of the screen for some reason :D:D:D:D

BlackScoobyWRX 07 November 2003 12:02 AM

There's always a first time Steve !! ;)

I saw the state of Paul's motor after the recce !!
Tell 'em Paul ......... :D

BlackScoobyWRX 07 November 2003 12:04 AM

Marv

In Disguise 07 November 2003 07:35 PM

scooby66 08 November 2003 01:27 AM

Oh yes had big brown stripes all down the still did'nt come off in the ford!!!! Still would not want to get my 250 quid flaps dirty ,thats if i had some!!!! think it will be great day out ,good for the kids also . Hey Mick any news on your car re build at the clinic??? They re built Steve Austin did'nt they!!:p

BlackScoobyWRX 08 November 2003 05:53 PM

In Disguise - turn the map upside down m8 and she will be able to read it :p

K9VYN 09 November 2003 12:03 AM

Well Marv,

If you can't sort the weather, what the hell are we employing you for :D?

I have dropped my tyre pressures a couple of psi, which seems to have improved things and I will re-adjust my rear anti-roll bar to the midpoint to try and dial out any understeer in the wet. But, I'll leave that 'til the day - it may be dry ;)

Kev

BlackScoobyWRX 09 November 2003 12:47 AM

Ok Kev - I'll put you in one of the slow groups m8 !! Just so you're not worried about wet or inclement weather (only joking pal !!) It'll be good no matter what the weather - it will just put a different slant on things !! :D

Jap STi 3 09 November 2003 08:26 PM

If Long Eaton was anything to go by then I'm well up for it....
Come on down Rochdale Lad. :)

BlackScoobyWRX 10 November 2003 08:11 AM

Welcome aboard Jap STi3 - start point is easy to find but no doubt there will be a Long Eaton pre-meet so would be easiest for you to meet us there - same place as Long Eaton mini-meet (although it wasn't so mini !!) at 0930.

ATTENTION all Long Eaton pre-meeters - 0930hrs Milestone !! ;)

K9VYN 10 November 2003 08:13 AM

i might hook up with you guys at LE seeing as we'll be coming down the M1 anyway! What's Dan doing about coming along?

K9VYN 11 November 2003 08:50 PM

Marv,

i'm always up early m8, 04:30 every week day! worst thing about that is you've gotta wait 4 or 5 hours for everyone else to catch up.

Kev

BlackScoobyWRX 12 November 2003 07:38 PM

I got up early once Kev - never again !!
Done my share of early starts m8!! :p

K9VYN 14 November 2003 09:48 AM

Just out of interest - anyone strongly object to a Jag XJR tagging along? ;)

It belongs to a colleague (fairly enthusiastic about cars), he was very helpful in taking me to pick my car up from you know where on three separate occasions.

My guess is that it is unlikely that he will do, despite his interest. But I thought it'd be worth seeing if anyone objected or advised against it, with particular consideration to the route/roads.

Kev

BlackScoobyWRX 14 November 2003 04:33 PM

It might get a bit dirty Kev and slow everyone down :p

Steve777 14 November 2003 07:04 PM
