If Chris is up for a laugh and i beat Terry in the 5 normal allocated runs, i'll do a lap with 3 bags of cement onboard and see if i can still beat his time. :D

If i do, Terry can then buy me an ice cream and vacumn out my car whilst i eat it. :D

Jay_bee 05 April 2006 10:13 PM

:lol1:

Excellent!

Well, Im looking really looking forward to this years event, should be a right laugh!

Oh, and I wont bother trying to harass you into going back into IT and sending me your CV ;)

Jeff

johnfelstead 05 April 2006 10:39 PM

:lol1: You never know, i might do it this time. :nono:

terryb 05 April 2006 10:40 PM

Quality - this is what banter is all about. :D:D:D

I'm up for the challenge.

Although once I've beaten you John, then I'll drive the circuit in reverse, and if I can get within 5s of your time, then I reckon you should have your bare ass branded by my exhaust tailpipe

Terry :D

Not whilst there are still people out there happy to pay you to go all over the place and rag their cars about! :thumb:

Incidentally, have you still got my business card or do I need to bring another one ;)

terryb 06 April 2006 02:21 PM

Come on then Mr Felstead.... What's the matter - are you running scared now :D:D:D

Jay_bee 06 April 2006 02:52 PM

Maybe he's busy getting his CV updated to send to me?

:lol1:

jonjo 06 April 2006 06:59 PM

My full name is "Joseph Luckett"

that might help with getting the trophies pre-engraved?? :D

Joe.....

johnfelstead 06 April 2006 07:19 PM

Sorry, I've been a bit busy building a gearbox, I don’t have much time online these days unfortunately. We want the attendances up this year, not down! So no thanks on that last offer Terry. :o

You may as well bring a card Jeff, my collection is running low at the moment. :D

Just need Chris to allow us to do the cement bag challenge now. :D And of course me to drive properly in the first place.

ex-webby 06 April 2006 08:30 PM

So is it a showdown with JF on the handling circuit? Should be interesting, I best put about 55stone on in weight to give you a fighting chance. :D :D

BTW....... my remit for the setup on the Spec C was ensure even Stevie Wonder could look like a driving god!!! I wonder!!!

Regards,
Shaun.

johnfelstead 06 April 2006 08:40 PM

You should do quite well Webmaster, as you sometimes have a split personality it shouldnt be too hard to get the most of of that using Shauns weight and Simons skill in the Spec C. :D

The other way round and you are seriously knakered, at least a 4 bagger (cement that is). :D:D

ex-webby 06 April 2006 08:54 PM

ROFLOL

I'm not sure about the 4 bagger, I think "I" may need 5 bags to even it up a little! :D :D :D

Anyone got a mini digger..... this shovel isnt making my hole deep enough?! :D

Regards,
Shaun.

terryb 06 April 2006 09:52 PM

John - I think we can definately show these lardy-boy, billy-bunter-esque new ages a thing or two

chrisT.O.T.B. 06 April 2006 10:06 PM

i think a cement bag weight handicap race could be done once the timed laps have finished, for a special booby prize.

not sure on the reverse driving tho terry! ;-)

Jay_bee 06 April 2006 10:55 PM

What about a prize for the most amount of cones collected? That looks like it could be quite tightly contested :D

By the way, does anyone know anybody that works for a builders merchants? :lol1:

Im really looking forward to giving the car a "proper" test around the handling circuit but if I dont win, I'll blame the car and you John, as you recommended me the spring ratings to use on my coilovers :lol1:

(only kidding on the second bit John :thumb: )

johnfelstead 06 April 2006 10:59 PM

950lb front, 1500lb rear wasnt it. :norty:

Great stuff Chris, should be good fun if it's needed. :D

Jay_bee 06 April 2006 11:16 PM

Bugger... I got my wires crossed... I ended up with 1950lb front, 500lb rear

ex-webby 08 April 2006 09:29 AM

John,

You do realise I have become the Padawon (sp?) Learner No.1 of the Simon de Banke Academy of driving tuition! ;) No where near his standard, but coming along fairly nicely.

Watch it John.... I'm on a mission here! :D :D

Video Clip of my exploits here

Roll on the 21st May! :D :D

Regards,
Shaun.

johnfelstead 08 April 2006 01:52 PM

Not bad at all Shaun, looking good compared to the last time i saw you drive. :o

You just need to work out how to go fast whilst looking good now. :D

ex-webby 08 April 2006 07:02 PM

LOL

The car is far from setup correctly and still needs work prior to 21st.

We'll see..... I will let the times on the circuit do the talking wide boy! ;) :D :D

At which point I will approach you and slap you around your face with my driving gloves! :D :D

You best get in touch with Jewson's as you may need some more cement..... to stick in MY car to even it up a bit.

Regards,
Shaun.

simo 09 April 2006 11:41 AM

Very nice that you have Prodrive's track to practice on Shaun :thumb: Looking good :thumb:

johnfelstead 09 April 2006 04:26 PM

I know the feeling, mine is a mile off setup at the moment and has only had a few hours work on it since i bought it as a bit of a screwed up car 3 weeks ago, It's slowly improving but i have little time or money for setup/test work as i'll be busy with the racecars.

Of course you should always let the times do the talking, it's all that counts in the end. Bring your gas mask as i'll be farting in your general direction post the event, a curry is booked pre event just to make sure it will have maximum effect. :D  :hjtwofing

flat4 11 April 2006 02:04 PM

drive like that at SSO Shaun and Chris is gonna need a **** load of spare cones :D

David_Wallis 12 April 2006 09:39 PM

not that impressed.. could do with a little speed and more traction.. :)

PS you guys are going to have to bring more cones, as Im going to collect all of em :D

Ahhh.... another one looking for a good thrashing!!! :D :D :D

Note: It's the car that will need beating, as the driver could be anyone on the day (STIG mystery anyone) :D

johnfelstead 13 April 2006 08:16 PM

As long as that car is limited to 5 runs like the rest of them, piece of piss. :D If you get more runs thats cheating and your times will be null and void.
