Has to be the RX7 FD, simple, smooth, looks fast (goes fast). :D
A second close has to be the VW Karmann Ghia :thumb: |
Some odd choices on here, but then we are all different.
In terms of modern cars I think the brera is lovely, for what is essentially a luke warm hatch back. |
Everytime I see a Ferrari Daytona I think of a Rover 3500
|
Loz - I think Rover actually copied the Daytona big time!!
|
think you are right! SD1?
Its those lights that do it |
I think it's a known industry fact. I have a feeling Ferrari even kicked up a fuss about it.
Hate to say it but to me the Rover is somehow cooler...! |
I dont get the Daytona obsession either. I think its the ugliest thing that Ferrari have ever produced.

Hate to say it but to me the Rover is somehow cooler...! They both look handsome to me. I can't believe anyone would describe the Daytona as Ferrari's ugliest car. Having said that it's all relative I suppose: Ferrari don't really do ugly, like most other manufacturers. In fact I can't think of one proper Ferrari that I would be ashamed to see parked outside of my house. |
I can:
http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/uploads/new/5506.jpg And my Dad's one was borderline ugly: http://www.channel4.com/4car/media/U...rge/308gt4.jpg Also not a fan of the 348 or the Mondial but can't think of any other munters in the range! |
If any other mass producer (like BMW, Merc or Jag) came up with the 365GT4/400/412 design, it would be considered a fine looking coupé. It sold strongly by Ferrari standards for about 15 years. I don't get the downer people have on its design. Better-looking than an XJS for example.
As for the 308GT4, it's clearly the runt of the Ferrari litter (and in fact not a "proper Ferrari" at all), but it's not really an ugly car compared to some everyday rubbish that we see on the roads. |
Turbo - he didn't have the 308 long (pretend Ferrari) - it was stupidly unreliable. Nice engine though.
I have always found the 400 very ugly, even when it came out. I think a 635CSi or old SL looks heaps better. |
Let's get this into perspective. Which one of these three cars is the ugliest?

Nice to see plenty of Lancias in the list, especially Fulvia and Stratos - both of which I can drive whenever I want :D

http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...dn/corolla.jpg http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k3...alib/media.jpg At least they are fit for purpose: A 400i is a crime against Ferrari both visually and mechanically. I mean whatever idiot Italian thought it was ok to bolt an American GM TH400 3 speed slush-o-matic to a free-revving v12 should be shot at dawn :cuckoo: |
I like the 400, looks great I think.
