For tomorrow tonight:
bttt.

911 30 October 2007 07:34 PM

I guess I just 'bttt' all the time.
DropShots.com
Not too slow for 360 bhp?

Could be you next year...

STiFreak 30 October 2007 08:22 PM

Free bttt :)

I don't think you should sell either Graham. You have put too much into this car to stop now. Drive this car for another season as is and just have fun, save the money you need to do the 2.35 properly and get competitive again the following year. Just my 2p worth.

Wishing you all the best whatever you decide in the end.

Richard

I find trying to sell the car more tiring than working on it!
Hate selling and buying cars.

Richard: You are prob right. If I fail in selling (doesn't look too good does it?)
then it will be stripped of weight over 2008 and some kind of big engine done using the Sti as a donar.

Will race the old 911 next year as it is just so nice.

No, not looking too good at the moment. Sometimes these things happen for a reason. I get the distinct feeling that eveyone on SN wants you to stay;)

Sounds like a great plan. Sure you'll have a blast driving the 911 again ... she is a beauty :D and enjoy seeing the STi develop ready for the following season.

911 31 October 2007 01:51 PM

Nothing to do with me staying, just the price i think!

Many would like to see a selling price of 6K max for this 'mildly modded' Sti but it sure does go for the mods it has!

give it a bit longer.
Will stop to sell on here when I've run out of old vids!

Graham/STi:

Somebody please buy Graham's car, as I am running out of excuses not to :)

911 31 October 2007 07:06 PM

Yours is very close to mine now?
Touch more suspension and slicks and you will be right there I think?

Thanks for the pics and the words!

911 01 November 2007 08:25 AM

to the top for Thursday.
:D

911 01 November 2007 06:13 PM

She certainly flies!

911 02 November 2007 08:14 AM

It does. Quite a balanced package of a chassis more than capable of allowing all the engine to be used with certainty.

Just drives where you point it.

Maybe too rich for some on here?

I think that it's the price too :( So many mods mean that £12k should be a steal ... it's just that most people will look at age of the car & £12k won't compute. You need to find the person that is looking for a focused car like this to do what you've been doing for years. They'll come along eventually.

TX.

911 02 November 2007 08:52 PM

TX:
You are dead right.

Until you have been through the modding thing especially for a RACE car rather than a quick road car (very different animal) few know what is involved and the blood sweat and tears you go through.

Maybe someone will spot it. In no hurry to sell.

:D

chris singleton 03 November 2007 01:28 AM

Stunning car, sold my similar spec ra far too cheap :(

Keep it, you know it makes sense :)

911 03 November 2007 06:43 PM

I should keep it but have other plans for racing if I can sell @ £12K.

It is hard to get across the 'package' of this car, how i've spent time and £££££ to blend everything to compliment each other which makes for a very fast car.

Someone will notice soon perhaps, or I will keep it and change the plan again!
DropShots.com

chris singleton 04 November 2007 01:03 AM

I can appreciate what an excellent spec the car is, my ra used to keep pace with a 500bhp R32 and a 420 coswoth (well, up to 100 ;)) but, to be brutally honest I think you're going to have to rethink your plans.

911 04 November 2007 07:47 AM

Yep! (maybe)

911 04 November 2007 10:25 PM

Took my eye of this for 1 day.bttt

I want to move on to another class in hillclimbing, and the Impreza needs to go first.
This is a very well modified car, a hard running car but docile enough for a holiday run to France or Sainsbury's.

Here goes for the longest ad on Snet:

The car:

White STi V3 MY 97 saloon, 34K miles and imported in 2001, thus a P plate.
This is the car when I first had it, stone stock.

Mods:
Suspension:

Very special AST 3 way syspension system developed by Powerstation for hillclimbing. Killer on track and raod, nice and compliant/controlled.
These are the property of Powerstation, but I'm sure an arrangement can be made to the new owner.
Whiteline:
ALK/ front 22mm/rear 24mm with 27mm options roll bars/ Roll-center kit/ lower strut brace/ rear diff lock, rear lower tansvers control arms.
All bushes poly bushed inc the rear diff carrier.
Quickrack with poly bushes.
Demon set-up by Powerstation and John F.

This is a hard decision to sell this car, so any silly remarks or comments will be abruptly replied to.

The price is about £12K as you see it in the pics.
I am not desperate to sell, and the car is advertised in the hillclimbing fraternity where there is a bit of interest.
