Hi guys, OP here. Just to put you out of your misery I had a conversation with one of the girls a couple of weeks ago. From what I sensed (as understandibly she was embarressed to tell all) , I think it was one big piss-up mistake, she knew what was happening..
She wasn't happy to find that her mate had also been bodged by him and I think that was the overall problem. They both didn't know he'd seen to both of them - if that makes sense.
All calmed down now but I think the guy will have a drink thrown over him if they ever bump into him in town. The girls want him beaten up but I've told them that's a stupid thing to do and will only lead to possible police invovement...
