Is LOL a female thing
Just ribbed my mate for sending LOL to a girl by text
Now my understanding is that its only females that use this when either talking on msn, txting or emails I feel its a girlie saying full stop :cuckoo: So whad'ya reckon ?? |
I always say it... think its something drummed into me from years on internet use though
|
Dont say it on txt's though unless Im talking 2 1 or 2 individuals who know what it means, not many people Id text are internet forum users
|
So what's wrong with LOL in a txt, chat msg or email?
Surely this is the minor abbreviation of laughter/finding something amusing before you get into the seriously funny expressions as follows: LMAO PMSL ROFLMAO etc IMO it is not a girlie expression as I know lots of guys who use it Den |
So your all poofs then ???
Its as girlie as drinking WKD or Smirnoff Ice |
play any online game and you'll see LOL is fine for both sexes
|
lol (get it ;) ) why is it girlie? I agree WKD etc is girlie, as I sit here with my can of Red Stripe ;)
Seriously though like Den says its only an abriviation and helps understand what people are thinking to what youve just said since you havent got a facial expression to go off |
So its an internet poof thing then ??
|
I speak it, 'LOL' around my mates sometime just to p*ss them off cause they aren't internet geeks like me :D If I find something funny rather than laugh I'll sometimes just say 'LOL' calmly.
|
what like L O L ???

Come to think of it - it's 'Scandinavian' (or maybe Russian) blokes that advertise Smirnoff Ice just now

The use of the word LOL is no good for rooting out puffs. A far better test is to see whether they have an earring in the puffs' ear. :D
