911's Hillclimber/road car for Sale!

Perhap one of the best known Imprezas on Snet is up for Sale.
I want to move on to another class in hillclimbing, and the Impreza needs to go first.
This is a very well modified car, a hard running car but docile enough for a holiday run to France or Sainsbury's.

Here goes for the longest ad on Snet:

The car:

White STi V3 MY 97 saloon, 34K miles and imported in 2001, thus a P plate.
This is the car when I first had it, stone stock.

Mods:
Suspension:

Very special AST 3 way syspension system developed by Powerstation for hillclimbing. Killer on track and raod, nice and compliant/controlled.
These are the property of Powerstation, but I'm sure an arrangement can be made to the new owner.
Whiteline:
ALK/ front 22mm/rear 24mm with 27mm options roll bars/ Roll-center kit/ lower strut brace/ rear diff lock, rear lower tansvers control arms.
All bushes poly bushed inc the rear diff carrier.
Quickrack with poly bushes.
Demon set-up by Powerstation and John F.

Wheels/tyres:
Set of hillclimb AVON slicks on Sti 16'' and a set of P1 17's with near new road tyres.

Engine:
Sti Red-top V3 2 litre with new head gaskets and ARP head studs by API Engines 3 years ago.
TD-05 20g AndyF turbo @ 1.6 bar
3'' decat from API and Revolution system, all 3'' and quiet! (97 dB)
550cc injectors/Walbro 225 pump/SX fuel regulator and parallel fuel rail mod.
Engine breather mod.
Hybrid FMIC with wrapped pipes where needed, manual water spray.
Gruppe S v2 headers with helix up-pipe all wrapped
Group N engine mounts/ Prodrive gearbox mounts.
Cone filter with under-wing and bonnet edge cold air feed to cold box.
Apexi FC ecu with AndyF map for Vmax.

378 bhp (Powerstation RR) or 407 bhp at Well Lane.

Transmission:
Type R 754 V6 dccd trans, 5 speeder recently checked by API Engines.
Rear plated diff by API rebuilt and all 4:444 ratio.
Micro adjustable dccd controller.
AP organic clutch
Will do this all day:

Brakes:
4 pot Subaru with Pagid blue pads and NO abs. Full brake balance adjustment with AP valve. ABS removed because of dccd.

Interior:
6 point rollcage, bolted in.
Race seat with 4 point harness set very low in the car. Stock seat available.

This is a hard decision to sell this car, so any silly remarks or comments will be abruptly replied to.

The price is about £12K as you see it in the pics.
I am not desperate to sell, and the car is advertised in the hillclimbing fraternity where there is a bit of interest.

911.

Never knew you had a scoob at all Graham. :D

Best of luck with it....though i'm sure you don't need it. :)

What you getting next?

911 27 August 2007 05:03 PM

Sports racer is the plan...

frayz 27 August 2007 05:15 PM

What a shame to see this go, but if competition is forcing a sale then that can only be a good thing IMO.

Its clear this car has had a lot of deveopment time and money spent on it and its clear to see in competition. One of my favorite cars on SN.

Best of luck with your sale, :thumb:

Stunning car, that has been properly prepared and driven by a great bloke.

Save yourself a load of hassle and buy one of the best STis available.

Thanks for the kind words.
Very hard decision, and tbh competition has driven me from the class.
good look to them all.
I need a new begining I feel but I have to say it hurt writing the ad!

Should NEVER get attached to a car!

olliecampbell 27 August 2007 07:22 PM

Such a good car, from what ive read one with the most sorted chassis here...

Please dont go Graham.....

karl h 27 August 2007 07:33 PM

good luck with sale Graham :thumb:

911 27 August 2007 07:56 PM

When the car is gone I will be too!

If it doesn't sell I will be here still......

Jamo 27 August 2007 08:14 PM

sounds like you dont want to sell it graham ;)

911 27 August 2007 08:21 PM

It will only go if the $$$$$ are right.
I'm NOT giving it away to a chav!

Just too much sweat and tears over the last 5 years to let it slip away.

I think it will sell to someone in the hillclimb side.
There are several who are looking to buy a cosey tin-top and drive there and back. (like I've done for 14 years!)

I can always race the 911 next year while I wait to find the right car.

ChristianR 27 August 2007 08:44 PM

fancy selling the suspension sep?

Brit_in_Japan 27 August 2007 09:50 PM

Good luck with the sale Graham. Even more than the car it will be a shame to lose your input to Scoobynet if you seek pastures new....

Graham's Sti, Class winner at Epynt this year! If I wanted to get serious with hill climbing then I would be very very tempted, but I'm happy to stick with Nat. B events for now and retain my air-con. :D

Tut tut Graham! Should be an easy sale i reckon. A LOT of time has gone into the developement of it which should count for a fair bit. Best of luck with the new plans!!

BTTT for a right dog ;)

Oh by the way it's all your fault I've got no money and the kids are starving.

Thanks Graham

911 29 August 2007 10:41 PM

Using the brakes SLOWS YOU DOWN!
So don't worry, it stops just fine!
They don't fade, so why do I need bigger ones?
:D
