Wheels for a Type R
Im looking to get new wheels for my Type R V5! What would you guys get? I've got 2 possibilities but wondering if there are any others that I've overlooked!
My favourites are 17x8 Rota Force in graphite 18x17.5 Revolution Milleniums in anthracite Any other options? |
these are my personal favourites....

That's what they all say ;)
I love those wheels but require different ones to fit over Brembos :) They will be going on this ;) http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...0/DSCF1684.jpg |
looks good on the newage wheels tbh........
how about these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Desmond-Re...item53ead9765f but of your choices i would go with the 17's |
Defo revolution milleniums in anthracite, they look amazing on a white Type R!
|

what colour will your new wheels be though? |
Dark wheels for sure Ry :)
The only arches I would consider would be the 22b kit ;) |
|
I like those too grrr! Too much choice :lol1:
|
Rota Grid Drift 9.5JX18" ET38 or Rota G-Force(have look on the Maggs car) Merv will look just perfect, for stealth look i would put OE 17" STi wheels
Jura |
17's and wide would be my choice, maybe some 8.5 x 17s with rolled arches and some BCs to give it that mean look:D

The only arches I would consider would be the 22b kit ;) I personally feel the 22B wide body kit is a bit subtle for my liking though, from a distance it still looks standard but each have there prefrence:) I'm still not sure what colour I will go with the wheels on mine but your's will defo need dark:thumb: |
I'm not feeling the wide wheel, rolled arch look! I want it looking OEM-ish but still be able to track it now and then :)
|
18's spoil the ride completely (there I've said it)
With 18's :( https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-u...P1000924sm.jpg With 17's :luvlove: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-y...0/P1010132.JPG |

|
I just love type R's and only wish I could have one with any wheels on it! :D

I totally agree with you mate, I had 17's on my type r and it handled great, put 18's on as needed to upgrade brakes and totally lost its poise and balance imho :thumb: |
Revolution milleniums, 17's, gloss black, will pull the caliper detail out more :)
|
Will the 17s clear Brembos? If so what offset and width wheel?
Cheers for all the pics, I can get a set of 18 inch Oz P1 wheels but are old :( they are immaculate too!! 17 inch Revolutions if they clear the brakes will be a winner!! :thumb: |
