For sale as of now, my wife's genuine STI Subaru Impreza Wagon, version 1 (122 of 200), 1994 'L' registered.
Imported 2003. Taxed til April 2008, MOT til September 2007. 73000 indicated on the odometer, of which approx 60000 in km. New coil packs fitted last year, engine rebuilt beginning of 2007 with another partial rebuild carried out less than 50 miles ago (yes, 50 miles), details below.
Standard equipment includes:
• Climate control
• Electrically retractable and adjustable mirrors
• Power steering
• Electric windows
• Central locking
• Nardi STI steering wheel
• STI seats/interior in excellent condition
• Intercooler water spray
Tasteful mods include:
• Walbro fuel pump
• Graham Goode stainless exhaust
• Exidy organic clutch
• 17" Dare alloys, 215x40x17 tyres (hardly worn)
• Locking wheel nuts
• Blitz SUS induction
• Blitz BOV
• Remapped with 'Scooby' ECU to 1.1 bar
• Clear indicators & side repeaters
• Subtle aftermarket front splitter, grill, skirts and rear bumper
• Toad Ai606 with locking and full closure
• Air con removed
• Boost and narrowband AFR gauges in A-pillar mount
• Apexi RSM mounted on steering cowling
• Privacy glass to rear doors and tailgate
Bad bits:
• A couple of small car park dings to driver's rear door
• Some small rust bubbles around spoiler
• Driver's wind deflector cracked
The engine was rebuilt at the beginning of the year with lots of new & uprated parts (oil pump, shells, etc, receipts to support) and the valves reground. 2 months ago, one of the conrod studs sheared and spun the bearing causing general mayhem. The upshot being that replacement rods, new crank and new bearings have been installed. The engine has literally done about 25 miles since. The rebuild work has now come close to £4000.
After being off the road for several months with rebuilds, my wife has now decided that she wants to cut her losses and get something different.
Offers around £4495. More pictures will be forthcoming as soon as the weather improves. PM, Email steve@major-sarcasm.com or call 07970 565431. Location: Isle of Wight. Ferry fare will be deducted from agreed sale price. No tyre kickers, test-pilots or dreamers with no money please!
