2005 SUBARU FORESTER 2.0 XT - 276 BHP

2005 SUBARU FORESTER 2.0 XT - 276 BHP
55 Reg in Champagne Gold Opal - 26,000 miles
(Champagne Gold Opal is a very pale colour, almost silver in some lights and should not be confused with the more usual Champagne Gold which is darker & has more green in it)
First registered in October 2005 - Ordered & bought new by me from Independent Subaru specialist David Hendry Cars.
I have spent around £4,000 improving the performance, handling & looks of the Forester. All changes were planned with reliability in mind & using brand new or very low mileage parts.
Some examples:
New parts include: Subaru 4 pot front calipers & Pagid pads; Bosal Catless Uppipe; Subaru STI Large Hood Scoop; Subaru Rear Spoiler; Kartboy short shift gearlever; 07/08 model year OEM Subaru 17" Alloy wheels.
Low mileage parts include: Forester STi suspension struts with 600 miles use when fitted; 2007 WRX TD04 turbo with 2000 miles when fitted, 2005 Prodrive Sports Cat Downpipe with 1000 miles.
There are many more parts so please PM me for a full description.
All the work has been carried out by specialists Subaru 4 You at Newbury & I have the invoices with the mileage on, brakes were fitted at 13,809 miles, turbo & exhaust fitted at 14,796 miles.
I used Bob Rawles of BR Developments to remap the engine, again at 14,796 miles. Bob is one of the best remappers in the UK and an Ecutek agent. The car comes with a full Ecutek licence so any future remaps will much cheaper. His post mapping printout shows 276BHP & 306 lbs ft. These figures are calculated by Bob on his laptop at the time of the mapping runs but the car has not been on a dyno.
This is a very quick Forester but looks pretty standard and is great fun to drive - stealth! Impreza STi performance levels but with the ability to carry a wardrobe in the back.
It's been totally reliable and I have not had one single fault occur in 26,000 miles, I guess that's why they are near the top of the JD Power & Warranty Direct Reliability Surveys
I have every single bill for all the parts and work.
The car is in immaculate condition & has the 2005 model year improvements including in-dash 6 CD head unit. It was fitted from new with a removable towbar but I have never used it.
Service history is up to date and includes an extra initial service I paid for after the car was run in at about 1500 miles so that the oil & filter could be changed.
New front tyres fitted last month.
Taxed till October 08
I have two reasons for selling, a dodgy left knee means I must change to an automatic and, at 60 years old, it's about time I slowed down a bit!
Please PM me for full details of spec.
28TH FEB: EDIT FOR SECOND PRICE ADJUSTMENT:
Price: £10,999

Hi. Watched your Ebay auction top out last week at c.£5655, tough market at the moment. I am a former UK Impreza Turbo owner who (alas) has grown up. I sold my E46 M3 coupe last year and we have tot number two now. I am running a Legacy GTB Auto as a second car. Would you have any interest in a PX as you say you need an auto and clearly have a love for things Scooby?
