Come on guys - this has got to be of interest to someone! I've got *new commitments* that mean I need a sensible car!
I imported this car in April 2006 direct from Japan. It had one owner in Japan and now myself.
Its now covered 72,000 miles - Scooby Clinic fitted a new clutch / flywheel and cambelt last year along with the 45,000 mile (major service).
Its running an Apexi Power FC (plus commander) and TD05-20G on the STI TMIC - mapped at 1.4 bar by JGM, pulls very nicely, has a low boost switch which I use for 97 ron when I haven't got VPower.
Cusco 1 way rear LSD.
Toad AI606 - 2 remotes.
Full 3inch decat, H&S downpipe and Revolution system (also standard exhaust if needed).
Front upper and lower strut braces.
Turbo timer.
Boost guage.
Automatic Climate control.
4 electric windows, elec mirrors (folding).
Body work is in extremely good condition with no rust.
Interior is good but the drivers seat has 1 cigarette burn - shown in photos.
Alpine CD tuner headunit.
Any questions please shout.
Chris

Cheers Graham - you're the reason I bought the V3, incredible car - I owned an RA before this (you may remember I bought some wheels off you some years ago for it - same as above).

Good greif! That's a long time ago (it seems).
The V3 Sti makes for a superb road car, inho better than the RA after the RA's rush for the first 24 hours.
Ones as stock as yours are very rare now I think.
BTTT!

A dccd for a road car has little purpose in my experience.
My Sti V3 now has one and I drive the car in fully open all the time on the road. Racing is a different matter.
The V3 Sti is a very 'real world' car and runs fantastic on the road.

Cool - does your insurance require a cat1 alarm? Its these hidden costs that really add up.
I reckon a rough approximation of import costs is £4k on the car on the road gives 400,000 yen to spend in Japan (£2,000). I bought this one (and 2 before it) in Japan because I couldn't find a good one over here - also I didn't want one that had been used on supermarket fuel! That said they all cost around £6k otr before alarms/remaps etc.
If you need any more info I have a list of costs that may help and a spreadsheet to help add it all up.
Cheers Chris
