Default MY96 WRX Facelift (including private plate)

Hi all

Selling my scoob after just over two years of ownership. See my profile for pictures. MOT and Tax until March 2009. Private plate K33 WRX (previously valued at £800) included in the sale. New car (Mums old one!) arriving Thursday so looking for a quick sale.

Located in Rickmansworth, Herts, WD3 postcode, about 3 miles from Junction 18 of M25.

Here's as much of the spec etc that I can think of, feel free to post with any additional questions and I will do my best to answer.

Mileage: 62,000
Full engine rebuild conducted by API Engines in Warwickshire October 2006 (mileage about 51000 at this time)
STI Upgrades: Turbo, Injectors, Air Flow sensor, quickshift gear changer, intercooler
New APEXi engine management system, with in-car commander unit in glove box (with enough cable to run and mount on dash if you like). Also have original ECU which I will give.
Engine remapped by Pat Hereborn. Pat estimates engine running at approx. 290Bhp, but I have not had it rolling road tested to confirm this. Remap was done for Shell V-Power petrol, which I have always run the car on.

Thatcham approved alarm system with internal movement sensors (certificate provided)
Pioneer MP3/WMA compatible CD Head unit
6 speaker sound system (front Kenwood component speakers with door mounted tweeters, rear Pioneer 6x9’s)
Factory fitted extra - Electric tilt / slide sunroof
Pirelli P6000 matching tyres on all 4 wheels. All have decent tread on.

OTHER WORK DONE SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR MAY 2006, all with receipts

Ported headers, Lightened flywheel, October 2006 (done at same time as rebuild)
New Xeedy High performance clutch (done at same time as rebuild)
New rear discs (vented) and pads June 2006
New Walbro fuel pump and STI intercooler fitted Jan 2007.
New Drop links and radiator fitted July 2007.
New brake caliper (front) and front pads February 2008.
Serviced every 6 months at API Engines. Last service Feb 2008 – fluid change service.

Original Japanese manuals included – in great condition.

NIGGLES
A spring appears to have gone in the driver’s door mirror. Electrics work fine, but at high (e.g. motorway) speeds mirror sometimes moves a little in the breeze.
Air conditioning system works but not very cold - maybe needs gas topping up? Don't tend to use it anyway to be honest - usually use the roof
Bulb for light behind one of the 3 dials for the heating / fans has gone.
Slight ripple dent in the driver’s side front wing - paintwork is not affected so can probably be sorted by dentmaster or equivalent.
Exhaust needs some re-sealing and investigation into the up-pipe including possible replacement. I was told this at APi service in Feb but they said it wasn’t essential to the running of the car (just affects the sound of the exhaust note, and possibly the performance a very small amount). Quoted me £400 to sort it and that included the replacement of the up-pipe if required.

As I said any questions let me know. This is an honest listing, including everything that I know about that needs attention. Other than those minor things it is a great running car and the interior is also in decent condition.
Looking ideally for £3,700 but open to offers!

Well not a single comment so far! I'm not an expert in used Impreza prices, so if someone experienced wants to help me out I would be grateful as from Thursday I'm paying two insurance policies (plus I only have one allocated parking space!). Is the price too high, if so, what is realistic?

Many thanks
Nick
