I am reserving comment on this thread until I hear Ian's final reply to my pm which I have just sent. I am sure he is an honourable person & will do the right thing, hence I will wait before I comment.
we spoke on the phone ricky, you came to look at the car with the person who use to work at zen, wanted to buy and the sale didnt go through. now you want a £100 off me, or £65 if i pay fast to cover your costs
I had a similar a few years back now when I took the aa to look at a modified r5 turbo. It was a nail cost me a couple of hundred quid but saved me a fortune.TBH thats the way the cookie crumbles. If I was selling ours and a prospective buyer came with a tech and he had issues with x on the car and offered me less than I was willing to sell it for I wouldnt offer a bean or expect to pay a bean towards the tech etc. Ians car is a really good example of a good car. Its worth noting that if it was a nail etc the zen tech would have said walk away not offer a few hundred quid less for the car etc. Just my two penneth but dont like this type of ranting/mud slinging etc. Ian is a nice guy with a decent car, ask alan jeffries for an honest view on the car. Lets face it if your buying a well modded classic there are always going to be niggles unless your spending serious money for an almost new car thats been modded.
