ok just got hold of him and he has apologised to all that have sent across e-mail addresses and not recieved anything yet. he has been busy and is as i speak charging the battery on his camera to take some good pics tomorrow in the local park. he will then try to get back tomorrow to all with the same e-mail with pics, spec, service history, and anything else he can think of. i have also said i will take some pics and get someone to post them up on my behalf in this thread as i have had trouble doing this in the past. in the meanwhile all i could say is if you live within an hour or so of liverpool and cant wait then make the journey up/down and have a good look for yourself

ok, info update, courtesy of Gavin.
hpi check has been done which has revealed that the car has been an insurance write off under a diffrent registration no. it does not state though under which catergory.
i have spoken to my mate that is selling and he did not know this was the case when he bought it but is still only willing to let the car go for the same price stating that "anyone that wants to look at the car and find any faults with the car itself is free to do so" he has checked the car through and there is nothing wrong with it. saying he does not really want to sell anyway if given a choice but unfortunately business finances have left him with no choice and that the price he is letting it go for is a fair reflection of the price that he paid for it.

he has been up the wall with work, as for being bothered well he is but if he can raise the cash another way and not sell it he will. as for it being on the register well now we know this it makes the "too good to be true" price more understandable. its not a dog, or a croc either. scoobyclinic regularly make imprezas like new again where less knowledgeable insurance companys are too eager to write them off by overvaluing the parts and labour and not taking into account the "real" value of a car of this pedigree. so feel free to mock at will but your loss when someone drives away chuckling to themselves. au revoir!

If a repair has been carried out correctly ,there should'nt be a problem , i have replaced a few shells in the past from damaged cars that have had massive impacts . if the job has been done properly the car should and would be as good as factory
( not saying this car has had a shell ,i'm just making a point) it could off just been slight damage and insurance companys these days write off vehicles with even minor bumps
