1997 Subaru Impreza STi Type R Version 4
Hi there,
Im selling my Impreza as i have recently bought a new car. I was going to keep the car and use it at the weekends but its just sitting in the driveway so id rather see the car go to someone who can make use of it. I have owned the car for over 3 years. Had the engine rebuilt in late 2008 by API Subaru in Birmingham which cost just over £3k. The car has been great since then, serviced regularly and always run on V-Power.
Here are the details:-
-1997 Import STi Type R Version 4
-Metallic Blue
-95,000 on the clock (Imported at 70,000km-converted to mph, rebuilt at 80,000)
-Years MOT
-Tax running out end of this month
-Fully undersealed
-Toad alarm/immobiliser
-CD/MP3 player
-17" OZ Superleggeras with Toyo T1R tyres
-Fujitsubu Exhaust system
-HKS induction kit
-Lightened flyweel (done at time of rebuild)
-Port & polished (done at time of rebuild)
-HKS boost controller
-HKS dump valve
-HKS fuel & ignition ECU
-Usual electric mirrors/sports seats
-Adjustable centre controlled diff
-Spray intercooler
-STi adjustable dampers
The front bumper has stone chips on and there is a dent in the passenger side door where someone has opened a door onto it. Other than that the car is in great condition.

Looking for £5000 for the car, think its a fair price as its had the rebuild and has a few extras.
Im in Edinburgh, any questions just give me a shout.

Evening guys, thanks for your comments!
Il post some more information on the rebuild work that was done tomorrow - All the documents are at my mums house where the car is kept so il drop by and get it.
Just had a look though my old emails and found the original quote for the rebuild from API Subaru :-
A fully rebuilt APi engine for your STi Vers 3or 4 is built using genuine Subaru parts, with the exception ** of the copper backed competition crank bearings which are sourced elsewhere, the engine comes with:
NEW standard-bearing-size crank & Trimetal competition bearings.
4 weight matched & balanced con rods.
NEW pistons and rings & fresh bores. ** All STi engines are upgraded to immensely strong, forged alloy pistons at no extra cost.
Fully overhauled cylinder heads with new valves as necessary.
APi rebuilt & improved oil pump.
NEW cam belt, gaskets & oil filter. All engines are fitted with STi uprated cylinder head gaskets at no extra cost, since January 1st 2008
ALL re-usable parts chemically cleaned inside & out.
STi Engines get a repainted red crackle finish inlet manifold.
It was at this time i opted to get the lightened flywheel and ported.
Thanks, Steve.

Hi folks,
I had planned to sell this car but after talking with my girlfriend today im going to keep it for the time being. I bought a BMW recently and my girlfriend has an Audi TT which we have had nothing but trouble with it recently. So we are going to get rid of the Audi now and use the BMW and Subaru between us. Sorry to anyone that has shown interest in the car but im going to keep it for now. I suppose its a bonus for me getting to keep the car in a way as i love it
Thanks
