you can only get a maximum of 2 years warranty on a import from VW and the second year does not cover everything can you tell me what plate its on (y or 51) cheers!

I'm sure you can buy a warrenty from VW (UK), but it costs!

your right Homer the first year warranty is standard but import VWs second year you have to purchase and only covers main componants eg:- engine, gearbox,etc the third year is not avalible have enquired at VW

All VW models having been imported from the EU that had their pdi on or after 1st November 2001 have a 2 yr manufacturers warranty.

Their is no reason why the car cannot then have a 3rd yr of warranty added by an after market company, after all thats all VW UK's warranty for the 3rd year is, insurance backed and not manufacturer backed.
