For Sale

Price now reduced from 23995 to 22995 or very near offer - must sell soon

Subaru Impreza P1 Coupe

Registered 23rd May 2000 (W)

This lovingly cared for car has covered 25000 miles since registered. The car has always been used with super unleaded fuel (or Optimax) and quality octane booster throughout its life. The car has a full dealer service history (including history to prove intermediate oil/filter changes between regular service intervals)

The car is part WR spec and has the following Prodrive extras

** 18" OZ Prodrive Wheels in gold with good Yokohama AVS Sport tyres. No curbing or damage
** Prodrive/Alcon 4pot Brake upgrade with 330m disks and new pads
** Prodrive/Hella Gas Discharge Driving Lamps - turns night into day when activated on main beam

The car also has these additional extras.

Stereo System

** Apline CD head unit,
** Pioneer Component 6" Front Speakers with door tweeters
** Infinity Reference 6" rear component speakers

all professionally matched and installed by BlueChip audio in Derby

Other Interior Features

** Genuine STI Silver alloy pedals
** Momo Race air gear **** which matches the steering wheel
** Defi 60mm Gauges (Boost, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure and Exhaust Gas Temp) professionally installed in genuine Defi Dashboard pod
** Boot Tray to protect the original prodrive mat.

Its also worth pointing out that nobody has ever smoked inside this car - not even me and I smoke.

A few interested parties have requested some shots of the interior featuring the gauges, STI pedals etc. so here goes...

I've tried to capture day and night to give you an idea as to just how the defi gauges match the OE instruments in the dash...maybe I need a better digital camera

Braking system.

To complement the Prodrive Brake upgrade:

** Goodridge braided hoses front and rear (these are not supplied in the prodrive brake upgrade kit - crazy)
** MRT Master Cylinder Support bracket

Breathing System.

** HKS Downpipe
** HKS Hyper Muffler exhaust system.
** HKS Super Racing Suction induction kit with brand new filter element

Original Exhaust System, Airbox and Filter included in the sale.

Exterior

** Clear front lenses
** Clear Side lenses
** Subaru head lamp protectors
** PIA Ultrawhite headlamp and sidelamp bulbs with spares.

The car produced 315bhp and 281 lb/ft of torque at Power Engineering earlier this year. It came first in class and beat many STI cars running possum link engine management on the day in the class above.

I will miss this car dearly and want to ensure it goes to a good home and continues being cared for.

I am asking £22995 which I believe is a fair price considering the 12 P1's that are currently for sale on auto trader. This car has over £7000 pounds of additional items professionally installed.

If anyone is seriously interested in buying this car please contact me via email to arrange viewing/test drive etc.

Reason for sale - I need to get a car capable of towing our Westfield on a trailer.

Boo hoo !!!

regards

Ian.

PS: Please do not email me regarding buying individual components from this car - car to be sold complete.

This is a repost as my original post went missing

Here we go again - I wish somebody would fix this bug in scoobynet when editing posts

Regards

Ian.

Sure is lovely

Gonna miss her like crazy

I drove a 330d bmw last night (again) and I've decided I cannot justify spending another 30k on a car. It seems like a golf PD150 is in order for the time being.

Bump

3 interested parties...looks like I'll be busy this weekend

Oh - whilst driving the mother-in-law back to stockport yesterday I managed to get a hole in one of the HID driving lamp lenses - it is costing me £210 for a new one. its not even that bad - but I would never sell like that.

I'll even pay for an oil/filter service at a dealer for whoever buys it - for complete piece of mind.

regards

Ian.

Cheers Chopper

yep - the car is exactly how I wanted it - all the goodies that the car could do with as standard - those brakes, those wheels, ummmm - backed up with all those expensive gauges so you can keep an eye on whats happening.

If I do get the golf PD150 - I will miss the P1 every day - but such is life - the effort and financials required to do the westi will be soooo worth it.

bump myself

Simon,

if you find that 22K you are very very close

Bump.

PD150 oil burner driven - it is pretty boring - but almost every car will be in comparison to the P1. Driver experience is somewhat dull - but the fuel bill savings will help get the westfield turbo charged just in case its not fast enough with a 1400 overbore and 100cc dry progressive nitrous kit

Ian - that's what I am finding with my TDI, it's very tedious, but I can go past Tesco petrol station more times than I used to without having to stop!

Up we go again...

If these TDi's are the new model 150 bhp jobs, a friend just came round and told me you can chip them, retail cost £350 from German + Swedish, which gives circa 40-50 bhp but doesn't affect fuel consumption. Won't affect engine life/ reliability either I am told...

But it was a mate, down the pub in affect, whose mates, mums, brothers, aunts, sister overheard someone say... You get the picture

But if it's true!

Question

Ian, what does the master cylnder kit do? is it the bracket that makes the brake feel more stiff? if so what was the price and where did you buy it from if you dont mind me asking??

The brake support bracket is made by MRT an Auz company.

Basically it sits between the supsension turret and the master cylinder bulkhead. It requires no additional drilling and fits to the car using bolts already in place.

Basically the bracket stops the master cylinder moving when you press hard on the brakes. and it works a treat. It won't actually make you stop any quicker - but it gives a slightly more positive pedal feel. Mated with massive Alcon brakes and braided hoses it works a treat

you can order from www.scoobymania.com - should be about £60.

regards

Ian
