I have a few sets of Performance Friction brake pads for the AP racing 4 pot caliper conversion used on the Impreza. These fit the CP5000 and CP5200 caliper range, pad part number CP3215D50.

These are in the 99 compound, which is not easy to come by. It’s a compound similar to 93 compound but with slightly lower coefficient of friction but much better release characteristics, which makes it ideal for drivers not used to race spec pads doing track days.

I bought a batch for my own use at a discount but have more sets than required so am selling them on at a lower price than available at the motorsport shops.

These will be ideal for the SIDC day at dono for any AP 4 pot users.

I am asking £80 inclusive of postage, no VAT
Drop me a mail if you would like a set.

Cheers
John

PFC 5180 is a medium performance pad, moderate initial bite when cold, reasonable temperature (500° - 600°C) & fade capability.
Excellent wear. Average friction µ 0.37
PFC 5183 is a high performance pad with steep climbing friction level. Excellent temperature capability (up to 800°C) and resistance to fade.
Excellent wear. Average friction µ 0.41
PFC 5193 is a high performance pad similar to PFC 5183 but having a slightly higher coefficient of friction.
Excellent wear. Average friction µ 0.44
PFC 5199 is a high performance pad similar to PFC 5183/5193 but having a slightly lower coefficient of friction and with better release characteristics when pedal pressure is reduced at end of braking.
Excellent wear. Average friction µ 0.41

Hi John,

I am not sure on the caliper model I have (Durrrr! )

Anyway they are AP Racing 4 Pots with 330mm Discs....

Would these pads fit?
Also are the pads new or are they used?

Thanks
Toby

The pads are brand new in the original Performance friction Boxes. Just as you would get if you bought them from Demon Tweeks or whoever at £121 plus postage a set in 93 compound. 99 compound is a better spec for track drivers as oposed to racers.

the caliper will be the CP5200 range on yours unless i am missing something.

the pad shape is this one, but the part number ends in 50 rather than 46.

Sounds like a good buy, John, but I think 50mm depth will only fit under APR's 17in wheel kit. 46mm is used on 16in wheel kits to prevent the pads touching the bells when part-worn.

Cheers,

Richard.

PS I could be wrong. It has been known...

Hi Russell,

M1144 are a very mild fast road pad.

PFC pads are the ultimate in racing pad technology, they are used in CART, IRL, WRC, FIA GT's etc. Performance friction have been the market leaders in brake pad materials for some time now.

These pads offer a huge amount more braking force than M1144, you will be impressed. They are not really a road pad though, they are a bit agresive for that IMHO, but on track you wont find better.
