w reg 9k miles it reckons 10-16k bog standard, you *may* get something for the extras, but wouldn't count on it. Others have found taking off the extras and flogging them seperately a worthwhile option.

Fair enough, I didn't think it was an out of order question. The reason I asked is that the insurance is up soon and I need to give it a value.
I thought 18k but what do I know, I'm so stupid I got ripped off paying RRP by a Subaru UK dealer.

Basic car was just under 20. Then had Prodrive Performance and Handling packs fitted, leather interior and aircon.
Thanks Greg, that's the kind of response I was hoping for.

Does anybody know if the people who advertise W reg UK Impreza's in Top Marques for 16K ever get that figure??
Hate to tell you this but if you sold that car to a dealer I think you would get around the 13K mark. If you can find the right buyer you might get 15K - 16K for a private sale.
You car might have cost you 32K but unfortunately you don't get much for extras when you come to sell.

you never get the value of 'options' come resale.
12k worth of options will only add about 3-4k (30%).
Always (if possible) buy a higher spec model than add-on the things you want to a lower model.
No price guides will allow for options so you could add the figure above on - options just make the car more sellable (to a degree).
Doesn't help now but hopefully in the future...

Stunning motor, I personally think if a dealer can charge £18k for a stdish RB5 then you should be onto a winner, 'cos as far as I'm concerned its far more desirable. I've seen a prodrive in the Autotrader along the same lines (dealer) and he was asking £19k.
I dont doubt with the options you paid £32k, but to me it defeats the point in Scoob as it's supposed to be cheap performance and for that money you can get a decent performance motor.

Jodster, didnt you fancy the P1 then ? Yours for £31.500 back when you bought this.
Could have saved £500 as well !!
Its got to be worth 17k ish for the insurance.

Just to say from what I have seen if that was on a dealers forecourt I reckon it would be up for around 17k with that mileage. Maybe even a little bit more.
Private sale, £16k maybe. On this forum - 15k max.
P.S. Seeing as you've suffered all that depreciation how about actually using the thing. 4000 miles a year - its a criminal waste.

i've just sold my MY00
to a dealer for cash as have just got a company car.
W Reg May 2000, DGM, ex P1 Gold Alloys, Air con, Sebring back box, Prodrive quickshift. 21,800 miles.
Unmarked inside and out. Excellent condition and FSH from supplying dealer.
Its on their website now @ £15,995.
so i guess they would be looking to add a good few K above this for your car with those extras and low miles ?
