Come on chaps, give the guy a break....put yourself in his shoes.....

It's obviously worth that to him and if nobody else thinks so, he will get no calls and then revise his price.

Don't tell me that you would instantly underprice your car to sell if you actually thought it was worth more.

Lets not get into the constant posts of 'I've seen one for 400 quid in my paper'. If it's worth that money to someone, they will buy it. By all means haggle, but if you're not interested, don't post

Not flaming, just on my personal crusade for free trade

Edit : Just seen that he did ask for thoughts on the price so you are probably all justified in your comments Sorry

Loz,

Trouble is they aren't worth what they used to be At that mileage I would say its worth around 11k tops. An 80000 mile RB5 recently sold at a main dealer for £9995.

Parkers can't adjust with that mileage but for a 30000 mile car came up with the following:-

A1 £13110
Good £12420
Fair £9315
Trade £10925

I don't normally comment on any ads but you did ask for advice. It might be worth re-posting the ad with a revised price.

Try put your car on www.findit.co.uk Someone else on here sold their car using this and its free

Good luck with the sale.

Ian.

99 year yes, but it could be an early MY00 thats why i'm asking!
V was the last reg in 1999 so it could be a Dec 99 model for all we know! It only adds to the value.

simple way to tell is: are your door handles and mirrors colour coded?

then its likely to be a MY00

Congratulations. as a proud owner of a MY00 you also enjoy these extra features over a MY99.

Remote central locking standard
Intermitant wash wipe with variable timing
New style 16in alloys
Colour coded mirrors and door handles
Map reading lights
New gear ****

these were all blatantly ripped from http://www.iwoc.co.uk/my2000.html

I thought I would say you may be asking too much, I've recently sold my MY97 turbo with 52,000 FSSH for 8500. I put it in the autotrader and had about 2 calls only, ended up selling on here for less than I was expecting.

Like I said just a thought but good luck anyway.

I recently bought a MY00 (W) with 15k miles for that!
Mint condition with all the toys.
I'd also say that you're asking too much.
Well, you did ask

You never know though, depends how desperate you are - if you hang out, someone may show interest.

Its YOUR car, you price it at what you think its worth.

Nick.

Thanks for response, but I guess the unlimited milage warranty would count for a lot, it`s never been played with and full Scooby dealer history!

Yes, Loz did ask for thoughts on the price, and i was only trying to keep him realistic.

Basically, Loz is the only guy who knows that car - it could be the cleanest, most well looked after Impreza going (and I'm sure it is) services, receipts etc.

I agree, never undersell your car, price it at YOUR price first and see how it goes. No-one can cut you down on the price untill they've actually seen the car.

It all depends on how quick you need to sell the car.

Besides, atleast all this chat is keeping it at the top of the page!

Good luck with the sale mate,

Nick.

I just picked up an X reg OO with 5k on the clock for £15k with Prodrive 7 17" Gold Rims. That kind of mileage will put a lot of people off, unless you have a few decent mods that an enthusiast would appreciate?

Top man Hanslow, thanks for the support, I wouldn`t want to drop too much, but I guess the need to sell does bite hard, more like £13,500 ?, you know I was expecting some haggling, 10 for that you must be mad! and all that. Knowing its all going to pay off the finance hurts more tho

might be worth reposting, especially if you intend to revise the price. People around here do not like high mileage on scoobies.

Hope I have helped a little.

If its any further help, I bought a 17,000 mile W reg MY00 3 months ago for 12,500 with a few nice mods.

cheers, Hope you sell it.
