Advertised for a friend of mine.

1971 MGB Roadster, Tartan Red, full restoration with receipts for £11,000. Cylinder head modified to run on unleaded fuel. New black leather seats with red piping, overdrive.Tax and MOT till January 2003.

MGB owners club condition 2 classification.

Apparently this is a classification that the MGB owners club use to group a cars condition.

Condition 1 is concours.

Condition 2 is quote 'no faults either properly restored or mainly original with any repairs. completed to high standard, with photographic or documented evidence, perhaps not good enough to win a respected show award, but not far off' end of quote.

This quote is taken from MG Owners magazine.

Was advertised at £6995, priced to sell now at £5995 o.n.o

Dude,

Have you got any pictures of this little number you can email me to my address in my profile if the car is still available?

My old man is after something like this. He's just bought a new car so I hadn't mentioned it to him, but, having mentioned it to him today he said he's still on the look out

Cheers

Steve

I'm in Notts mate, folks are in Lincoln. Not sure whether my old man wants a roadster or a GT though. I'll see what your mate says when he gets back to you and I'll give my old man a bell in the week

Just rang my ma, and she has confirmed it is a roadster he wants and he wanted condition 2 I'll drop the guy an email as well for further info.

Cheers

Steve

Cheers, I'll have to get my dad over to our house to have a look though cos he ain't fully geeked up at home

Don't spose there are any pics of the engine bay as well are there?

He sounded quite interested last night anyway....I'll have to try and sort him out with a modem soon

Looks nice

Just to add that the car was built up from an American (California) left hand drive car, brought into the UK for conversion to right hand drive and rebuild.
It was living in sunny America up until 1998, so had very little corrosion, and was sourced specifically in preference to professionally rebuilding a severly corroded UK model.
Some of which end up with almost NON of the original donor car left.
