Now thats a pretty looking car. My Fave colour.

It would make a nice P1-looking alternative for someone.

It was manufactured in 1997 - so if it was registered in this country it would be an R or P plate. (I think).

It has an Irish number plate.

And a P plate I think?

Shame - I need an R (or later) so I can use my plate...
Reasonable price now too... good luck.

Think I'm going to put her up on Auto trader.

Anyone got any advice on selling such a car in this way. Am I being paranoid to worry about being car-jacked?

darleydude

the version 3 was released spet 96 ready for the 1997 model year (MY97 to some people)
The version 4 was released in sept 97 for the 98 model year.

differences are slim, different dash, and I think that's it really. In real terms the first of the face lift cars was the 97 model year, the 98 was really more of the same - so there is no real difference betwen v4 and v3. oooh don't forget the v4 also gave you colour coded side skirts and bumper trims. The car for sale here seems to be v4 'cos of the colour coded trims, but could be a 3 if manufactured early in 97 and the owner painted the trims, which is common - you'll find the biggest differences are between v2 and v3 (power, interior, exterior) and then again at v5. The model differences are important, 2-door variants (type-r) have a closer ratio gearbox - slightly stiffer body, water spray for the intercooler to make it work better on those hot days, and an adjustable centre diff - basically a control to adjust the oversteer/understeer characteristics of the car - use with caution - as you'll not want a fully locked diff on grippy tarmac - things will break - it's for loose surfaces really.) The type RA is one crazy beast - no toys as such ( no air con/radio as standard) but lots of very trick light weight panles etc - the car used to go group N rallying!!!

So the bottom line here is the car up for sale is a top tool, type-R with lots of goodies and a great(the best) colour, don't delay - buy it today.

there, that's all I can think of right now - hope it helps.

On Mikey Ace's comments:

The skirts do not look that they were painted by previous owner, if they did it was vary well done - looks like factory to me.
