Hi Dave a couple of questions for you - do you know what insurance group the car is in? How many owners has it had? Did you import it yourself? Is it easy to get parts and sevicing for the car? What is the performance like? and finally where are you based?

I stay in Wishaw,North Lanarkshire. Its had 2 owners before me and Warrenders brought it into the country from new.Parts are easy to get for it as it shares nearly all its parts with the UK Civic 1.6 vti.As for performance, its supposed to to 0-60 in 5.7 seconds but i wouldn't say it was quit that quick,i had a Clio 172 before this and i would say the Civic is a good bit quicker than that.It is limited to 125mph,and the vtech cuts in at 6000rpm and goes on to 9000rpm.I forgot to mention it also has air con and a CD player and 8 months warranty.I hope this answers your questions.Dave

I'm quite interested but the real issue is insuring it. I am 23 and have been getting some crazy insurance quotes for performance cars. How much did you pay? did they tell you what group it is in?

I'm 26 and i pay £1300 which is what i was paying last year for my 172 before i wrote it off.I dont know what insurance group the Civic is,the best thing to do is phone for a quote and see what they say.One of the best insurance companys for imports is Adrian Flux i dont know their number off hand but they advertise in most major car mags.

Dave -

Why was it so expensive to insure the Clio???

I mean, you'd be 25 last year when you had the 172, so why so much?

How long have you had it? Any particular reason for sale?
Nice and rare car but you're going to have to find a real enthusiast at that kind of money when people can now pick up Integra Type Rs and 172s for under 10 grand.
Lets see some pictures then...

I wrote another car off a couple of years ago hence the reason the insurance on the Clio was as high.I have only had this car a few months and i'm selling it to get another Clio. Its not that theres anthing wrong with the Civic or that i dont like it,i just prefered the Clio. The Civic is certainly faster than the Clio but i just dont find it as fun to drive.I would like to get a Subaru but the insurance would rape me.
