Dealer has made a verbal offer over the phone. Taking the car for a viewing on Saturday.

Shame to let it go to the trade but I don't have the space for this and the new car.

Best offer over p/ex price secures.

That was against a £29k Merc CLK. He showed me the glasses guide as it was between £7.5k - £8k.

This wasn't a ploy to sell the car I can assure you. Not sure what guides you are looking in.

glass's mate, if shes a 97P trades at £7500 and a retail of £8825
if a 96P £7250 and retail at 8500, mind you its only a rough guide the glass's i find it to be soo far out sometimes, most vehicles i have bought through auctions etc have been miles below trade, i personally think mr glass's needs a new pair glasses...loll.
but if you had said he offered ya 8k in px than thats fine, but the way ya worded it sounded like a cash offer hence my reply, was only voicing an opinion m8.
