On behalf of a mate.....

DBM MY00 Impreza 2000 turbo
52000 miles
FSSH
Still has a little warranty

Exactly what it says on the tin.

Absolutely standard apart from stainless steel back box.

I guess it may well suit someone who does not so as many mile as previous owner. Saxoboy?????

Was bought from a dealer in Feb for 15000.

A few miles have been put on commuting since.

No good to me, I do 25k a year so at 50k already I wouldn't get much use out of it before the miles became silly. I'd say its worth about £11-12k dependant on condition and status (i.e, tyres, brakes, next service, etc)

Well,

I have been trying to sell mine - exactly the same spec - has been in Autotrader and Top Marques for £12,950 - with not a single call.

So the price has dropped to £11,850 to see if I get any interest. It seems nobody wants high mileage young cars, even with full history etc.

It comes down to - do you buy a slightly older car with less miles or a newer car with higher miles....I unfortunately, don't have an answer for that one!!

Good luck to your mate!

Jamie

Not going to waste your time with an offer just yet but in a month or so I may be in a position to buy. And possibly doing a very low mileage so 52k on the clock won't be a big problem.
Off the top of my head I'd say its worth about 12 grand.

Any more info on the car - is it saloon/5-door?

I do a fair bit over average milage at the momnet but will drop when I move closer to work in a few months, down to probably 8-9k.

Not so bothered about high milage (well, up to a point). Is it right at the end of 00-year? Would £11.3k be out of the question? Close? You're quite far away,

If Cheeky Jim reads this thread again: I may be interested, get in touch (although you're quite far away, so depends on how close a match the car is to my ideal).

Apkadb (eh? initials? short for something?) - where abouts are you?
