so no info on miles...no info who the warranty is with...
Here are few examples on whats on the auto trader website with pic's and very close to get to.
1995 N Reg Mercedes-benz 220 2.2 CE 16v Calmore Service Station , Petrol, 1995 N Reg , Green, Coupe, 57,000 miles , 2 Doors. ABS, Air Bag, Air-Conditioning, Alarm, Alloy Wheels, Automatic Transmission, Body Coloured Bumpers, CD Multichanger, Central Door Locking, . . . . (trade) more info£10,495 / 68 miles

Both examples are trade and cheaper than your car!
If the car is spot on with Merc warranty with less than 40k miles then I would say 9k! for cash and that should take car of travel up there.
Could be interested but has to be one hell of a merc to come up to you with out pic's

Well I never ever thought I would see the day!!!! My wifes 1995(N) last of the classic coupes is now up for sale. This car is without any doubt the FINEST Mercedes benz Sportline in the United Kingdom to-day.
Spec; Metallic Blue,, Automatc with Sports box Full factory Sportline suspension, Full Cream Electric Leather seats, heated seats, Full electric pack including remote total closure factory alarm system, Kenwood 6 disc Mask Compact Disc system with electric ariel. just fitted with the following new parts;
Complete new braking system with new discs and pads, Full major service with Mobil 1 oil from new, including Full Mercedes Benz History, Brand New 18" AMG Wheels and Goodyear Tyres, M.OT for 11 months and Taxed till April 2003
The car is well below average mileage and is full warranted, it is open to any type of inspection whatsoever and a Full Receipt will be given to the purchaser
This is not your average Old Merc it looks and drives a Million Dollars Im sorry I dont have any pictures but I promise anyone who comes to view the car and it is not as described I will full refund all travel costs!!!!!
I may consider taking a Scooby in P/ex or W.H.Y. I will consider all offers

sorry for the delay in replying, Im sorry I dont have the facility for a photo but let me say the car is just simply STUNNING and you will not find better in the UK I am even prepared to refund all travel costs if not as described. Mate you failed to notice that neither of the examples you show are Genuine Factory Sportlines and they are all over £10,000 Thanks for your kind offer of £9000 but I think I will keep it, I am in no hurry to sell this car and will wait till the right deal comes along, hope you find the car your after Cheers Ian you can e mail nme if you wish to up your offer

Anyone who is serious about the car will be given the FULL information Mileage, owners etc but I will discuss by e mail so that it discourages Time Wasters who are not interested in the vehicle So if you are serious about the car, please email me at benview7@netscape.net

Like NAT21 says - mileage is relatively unimportant with a Merc - so Benview - what is the big secret ? Surely by diclosing this information it stops potentially uninterested parties hassling you ......?? it cuts both ways......
I think most people have assumed that this Merc has got intergalactic mileage & hence your reluctance to disclose this information.

Their is no secret about the mileage on my car it is below average mileage at 78,000 with Full Mercedes Benz Service History, I never ever said the car was being sold with Warranty what I said was the mileage was warranted. And I do agree that Mercs can rack up very large mileages with no adverse effects. this car is as described and it is a GENUINE factory Sportline model which really is quite rare, my reason for wanting to discuss the sale with any potential buyer by e mail was simple, Buying a car is a very personal thing and should be done on a one to one basis not letting 100,000 non interested parties get involved. As I said in My ad I am more than delighted for any prospective buyer to have a Full RAC or AA inspection carried out on the car, and I have offered to refund all travel expenses if the car is not as described is that fair?

Declaring all of this after the first request however may have prevented alot of sceptics posting and the focus of your sale being somewhat lost !
