Still in box- only used twice.

Complete with all leads, charger, spare high capacity battery and firewire card, with software, for PC editing.

This model features an attractive vertical design and is ideal for capturing both still and moving images. The compact design is contributed to by signal processing LSI and Canon's second-generation interior, working along with a slim lithium ion battery and repositioning of switches.

They measure just 48x106x86 mm and weigh 390 g. They also feature a newly developed small Canon 10x optical zoom and 40x digital zoom lens with image stabliser.

The MV3 series features an improved 800,000-pixel RGB progressive scan CCD for excellent colour reproduction and is ideal for users who want to use the camcorder as a digital stills camera. Using Progressive Scanning, the MV3 series camcorders read and isolate information frame by frame. Sharp still images are then recorded at a speed of 25 full-frame images per second--ideal for fast moving subjects. If the user wants to be sure to capture the best moments, the progressive scan mode makes it possible to record the moving image and then choose the desired still image(s) from the recorded tape.

A high resolution 200,000-pixel, 2.5-inch LCD monitor mounted on the side of the camcorder gives clear, sharp images. The LCD monitor can be moved to a variety of positions for shooting and playback of recordings, and its information display gives details such as zoom position, battery level and tape remaining.

The MV3 series also features a new 3-element stereo microphone system, which enhances the capacity to minimise the voice of the operator, therefore creating a more equal balance with the voice of the person being filmed. This new microphone system is located on top of the camcorder, thus contributing further to the compact size of the MV3 series.

The camcorder also features seven programmed AE modes including full auto, auto, sports, portrait, spotlight, sand, snow and low light. In addition there are nine digital effects allowing users to enhance images. Effects include Art, Sepia, Monotone, Mosaic, Autofade, Wipe, Scroll and Mosaic fade.

The MV3 series also feature an Audio Dubbing function. With this feature it is possible to create or replace commentary or music to footage allowing for personalised films.

I paid 1299 about 12 months ago.

No idea what it's worth so make me an offer.

I reckon it's probably worth around the 500 quid mark, as you can buy the new MV5 for around 649 quid.

Check out http://www.letsgodigital.co.uk for prices.

Just goes to show how much prices have fallen for DV camcorders.

Andy.
