I have decided to downsize my home cinema setup so I'm looking at selling my DVD/Laserdisc player.
It's a Pioneer DVL-919 (Hong Kong model) and is a combined DVD and Laserdisc player!!
It has been chipped to allow any region of DVD disc to be played (region 1-6 & 0 if you can get hold of them) It works with protected disks and items such as the white rabbit section of The Matrix (region 1) works!

It will *NOT* play PAL Laserdiscs, but NTSC ones are not a problem. (NTSC Laserdiscs are about £4 from the States!!!)
I bought this 3 years ago for an eye watering £900!!!

I have the box, the manuals, the remote, S-video to S-video leads and I'll throw in some Laserdiscs!
Please mail me for details, questions and offers around £300.

Bear in mind you TV will need to be NTSC compatiable in order to use it. (Check your manual for 60Hz compatibility)
The lead I have is an S-video to S-video, so check you have the socket for it (Looks similar to a PS/2 plug for a PC)
The laserdiscs I'm throwing in are:
Star Wars
Empire Strikes Back
Return of The Jedi (still sealed)
Natural Born Killers (still sealed)
Men In Black
More information about the player is available here
Sorry to see it go, but my rear projection 41" television won't fit in my new house and my crappy 25" telly doesn't work at 60Hz correctly!

Other features:
PAL/NTSC/Auto switching image output
Dual readers to enable good music and video output
Will read CD-r's
Digital Audio outputs (both Tosh-link and Co-axial)
Auto flip LD player, so no need to eject to play the other side
Build in DTS decoder
NB - There is no SCART socket on the player, only component video and S-Video.

Cant you buy an adapter from SVideo to SCART? IIRC I have one at home...
I think Laser disks are better than DVD IMHO as theres no poxy Artifacts.. DVD is a little cleaner though.
sounds like a good deal for someone without a DVD Player.

Cheers guys! ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Double checked and it's the TV not coping with the S-video input!
Unless I get an offer, I'll keep it and buy a new telly!!!
