Mmm... Looks a nice car. Almost tempted to want to view it, but that ECU mod could make it harder getting insurance quotes around the price I'm happy paying.

The Ecutec Tek 1 is effectively the MY99 stock ECU. The MY00 ECU (for some reason) is the worst of the old model Impreza and changing to the MY99 ECU map means that you get significantly more mid range punch.
The ECU that Ecutek use is a standard Subaru part that has had the map changed and even Subaru wouldn't be able to tell unless they decode the map. This all means that it makes no difference to your insurance.

When I picked the car up from Lancasters when it was new there was 3-4 other V***MKK DBMs awaiting collection.....
