I am after an amp to power 2x6" kenwood subs and 2x6" jbl components in the front doors.

Will your amps be suitable, I don't know of Audison, are they something I should consider...also how much is half price ??

cheers

Andy

Hi Andy

The Caliper amp can be bridged to for a single subwoofer like I have or used for 2 subs (maybe more, not sure). I forgot how much that amp was new (around 500 or 600?), but I know that they won a competition in France with one of those putting out something stupid like 120 dB or so. Ideally, you would use the 15 inch Focal sub, it's AMAZING and only cost 190 new, you can have it for 100 or even 90, I dont really mind. But open the windows or you might blow them

The Audison is what my audio specialist shop use now since they found them to be better mid range than the other more well known stuff out there. These are relatively inexpensive at around 180 new. I'm sorry I dont know remember the exact new prices here, but I guarantee this stuff is as good as new, has been professionally installed with filters and gold connections etc and you wont have problems with it.

I really recommend you get the 15 inch sub with the box (perfectly adapted since the sub needs 50 liters and the box is just that) UNLESS you need lots of trunk space. If you fit that to the back seats from the boot, you get a vibrating scooby Let me see if I can find a pic.

Here goes, you can see the 2 Audison amps and the big white Caliber amp and a filter box (left) installed in my former crappy Jap car

The amps are fitted on a panel behind which there is the 50l box for the sub. You can see it was professionally done.

This is what it looks like from inside the car when u take out the back seat:

This is a during install pic, there are obviously no cables stuck anywhere.

Not sure what the model name is, have to go to the garage look at the box. But it was the best unit available 10 months ago and cost 400 new. It's a 4 x 35W with removable display and 2 or 3 RCA outlets and a 6 CD changer and CD in the front and a big memory so the CDs dont jump.

Yes, I'm left with the space shown, but it's a crappy family sedan, a Mitsubishi Carisma. A friend of mine has a scooby Impreza (2000 model), shall I check if there's enough space?

BTW, I'm in France, but you can still trust me , I'm not French
