All RB5's came with a/c standard along with nice alloys fully colour coded, single rear folding seat (for extra rigidity).
Definately a bargain at that price (id add another 1k to the price is i were you )

Tony...the seats are non-folding. They are bolted in place. There's a bar extends across the back of the seat behind a plastic cover. Gives the effect of a rear strut brace im told. That is the reason they dont fold down
Mine came with braided hoses too :P :P

As standard it had a quickshift, aircon, also a fixed rear bulkhead (ie no folding seats - not sure if it really made if stiffer/handle better) and 17" wheels (debateable whether thats purely cosmetic).

There is a lot of crap talked about on here about RB5s. Suspension was the same as a standard MY99, unless the Prodrive suspension pack was fitted.
Air con, map reading lights, 17s, Blue door panels and seats were standard.
Anyway it's listed here, http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm#1.3
I would like to say that I like mine (no 411) as there aren't that many about. Went to Castle Combe last weekend and mine was the only RB5 there. There were loads of P1s and even two 22bs.
If you bought a standard MY99 and added all the extras would cost you loads. This car is well priced to sell
Cheers Phill C
PS I can't see that a bit of black plastic and a metal bar can make the car more ridgid

Well if a metal bar was added to the engine bay that makes it more ridgid on cornering doesnt it?? Or did i miss the whole point of buying and fiting a strut brace! This is or was meant to be the desired effect of the rear bar across the back of the seats (havent looked where its bolted to but assume its on top of the rear suspension struts, i.e rear strut brace). Supposed to make the back end more stable under heavy cornering. So yes there would be added benefit or this imo.
Dont forget the PIAA Driving (spot) lamps, which are not fog lamps (wayyyyy to bright). Afaik the RB5 (normal) was 218ps and the Prodrive was 237ps. This is what my brochure says anyway. The car was 24grand new and with ppp was 27. Hope this helps clear up a few things

R.B.5,
The bar in the back of the car couldn't possible increase the shell ridgidity. Look at the way it's mounted. It simply a bar to support the rear seats. You are correct about the strut brace though.

Then why would the car need a bar to support the rear seats? Seems strange as normal scooby's dont come with this bar and are more or less the same! Explain why a bar would be put in place if they could just whack normal seats in there and re-trim in blue?

The seats are completely different on the two models (i.e. Standard MY99 and RB5) the RB5 seats don't have any backing to them and are just foam covered with the fabric. A normal MY99 seat has a hard backing to it, and pivots at the bottom.

RB5 no.100 is now fully serviced (3 yr inc.cam belt)and in the words of the service manager she is 'absolutely on the button' as my drive home confirmed.
This car will be advertised in National motoring press next week at £14,495.00 but if someone on here buys it before sunday it's £13,895.00 to you Sir.....no offers.
Bargain ? yes i'd say so, Dealer recently sold identical car but with 37k on the clock for £15,995.00 and it was pretty shabby.....

I bought mine two month ago from a mate for 16 k with 23 k on the clock and I thought a got a bargin. WRSport with full Scoobysport exhaust and clear indicators.
I think you'll have much better luck selling it in another place and not on here. People expect to much for too little.
It's got to be worth £18 k
Cheers Phill C
PS Have you checked the book price ?
