MY00 Brake Discs / Pads
#1
I have a pair of original Subaru Front Brake Disks from an MY00 UK Turbo for sale - I switched disks after c7,000 miles - still in good condition. £30
I also have two sets of brake pads for the MY00 4 pot callipers which again have little use as I switched to alternate pads:
EBC Reds nearly new (9mm pad material remaining) £30
EBC Greens (6mm remaining) £15
I will take £35 for both sets of pads or £60 for the lot.
If you are interested, email or call me on 07973 328612.
I am based North Wiltshire.

Hi Nick,
I need some new pads for MY00. Can you tell me a bit more about these EBC reds/greens - not up on pads really, who made em? are they just the standard ones? etc etc??
Cheers

Robin,
EBC are a brake system manufacturer in their own right (if you check out the Brakes area on Scoobynet there are usually a number of threads with details).
The "colour" denotes different grades. EBC Greens are for "Fast Road" use - be sure to check the Discs you use are compatible as these pads run at a fairly high temperature and can warp softer discs.
EBC Reds are for Fast Road / Track use and are more effiecient at dissipating heat than Greens, but don't last as long. These are safe with most discs.
Needless to say it all depends on how hard you drive the car - if you are after some "cheap" pads for everyday use you shouldn't have any problems with either set.
Cheers,
Nick
