Fair enough for don't wanna go low, but laugh at an offer m8.
If somebody wants to pay £500 for something they can get for £590 new and have come back at the original retailer then that is up to them. If may be an ECU with no wearing parts but it is still 2nd hand (just the same as computer parts !) They still fail and if you but 2nd hand then you have difficulty getting warrenty. Plus you have said in the past "I have not tried original ecu, cause PE got it, hence why i might send mine back and ask for another."
I went from AE802 TO AE800 and if the jump to TEK2 is just as good then that would be amazing !
Dave.
PS did you actually pay £500 + vat or just the £500 when vat wasn't charged.
Edited to add --
Steven, just read it and it sounds more arsey than I meant. Read it m8 then mail me and I will remove owt you want so as not to spoil your thread.
Dave.

After carefull consideration i maybe selling my TEK2 for MY99/00.
The reason is i am going for the link system as i would like to alter fuelling etc myself and not constantly have a remap done.
No problems with this ecu at all.
Its a AE802 with the TEK2 from PE.
Will accept £500 + exchange ecu.
This represents a saving of approx £90, and there are no wearing parts on it, so its as good as new.

In fairness these boys dont's understand the grin factor of what you're trying to sell, and how better your car is after fitting the ECU. Fuel Consumption is improved, and the car is f**k loads faster.....Enuff said

Ok for the non informed, it changes boost from 0.9 bar to peak of 1.2bar and settles in between 1.1 and 1.2. The torque difference is unbelievable, you think you have a new car. More power, expertly mapped for fuel etc, more economy, and more torque.
These £590 off the shelf from PE, so you are saving £90 already.
Big grin factor al round

No problem m8, yes i did pay the £500 plus vat, and this is the second one i have had from PE, and it is definately better than the 1st one.
You can say what you like, freedom of speech etc, no offence taken.
Had to laugh at the price because i am a famers son, a yorkshireman and an accountant, so money is my game. I appreciate people want to pay full price, but if you dont ask you dont get, which is why i said make me a SENSIBLE offer.
I am sure that PE will warramty it, i will have a word with them on Monday, after all you, well i certainly, cant modify it, so its exactly how they sent it to me 2 weeks ago.
Anyway its upto you and anyone else.

P20SPD,
Just caught up with this thread. All I can only offer is around £250 that's it. I didn't really want to post that in my previous post due to the _large_ difference.
Anyway Dave's already offer that to you. Personally I think your looking at this sale wrong, forget what you paid for it. If your only other option is to put it back in the garage on the table I would have said that even £50 is better in your pocket than nothing - simplistic I know but sometimes simple is better!
Don't forget that as soon as TEK 4 (read future version) or something similar is released your TEK 2 will be worthless.
Regards,
Steve.
