David,
Sorry to hear about you misfortune. I've bought and sold a few things on here and never had a problem, in fact I've always been impressed by the efficiency of any dealings I have had with other members. It's a sad day when someone tries to take advantage of the honesty and good faith of fellow scoobynetters.
You've given him enough time to come up with the goods so it's time to get serious with this pr1ck. Post his name and address. At the very least, someone on here may know them / stay nearby and be able to pressure them into fulfilling their end of the bargain.
Agree with trying the 192 web service. You could post his phone number on here too. Imagine loads of scoobynetters jamming his phone line at 3am
Alternatively, you could try and recover the amount via small claims court action.
Best of luck anyway !
Ian

I wonder where that is then ?
Judging by the number of posts he has i would say he was up for a scam IMHO.

to be honest I dont think post count really means much, and I dont often look to see how many people have.. I have about 3000, but that doesnt mean you should trust me.
I wont sell anything by post unless begged... as Im too busy to sort stuff out...
Ive just said Ill buy some clear indicators this morning for £50 and I dont know who the person is... but Ive just got to trust them, its not like I can just jump in the car and go get them, nor can I ask someone on here to go pay £50 for them on my behalf.
Anyway, the guy is going to get a polite letter first... anybody got any suggestions for content... other than "I am going to break your ****1ng legs."

I agree with mouse, i have seen this only once before on here, so thankfully it doesnt seem to happen very often. I know that doesnt help David any.
The offender should speak now before he/she is blacklisted by all on here.

I've bought a few items and had trust in the seller. Also sold stuff before and never had any prob's. I guess you always get one that lets you down. Hope you get your money back or the item does arrive. Then shame them !!!!

its a shame that a few spoil it

Is this guy/gal a regular on here?
I have bought/sold loads on here with no probs (touch wood), but always prefer to deal with the more established scoobynet user, either someone I know from other posts.
Some scumbags have no principles though I for sure would like to know who it was...maybe you could post the original link, I did a quick search but can't see who it could be.

Mega, you and me both - I've bought / sold / swapped thro the BBS and have always dealt with decent honest people.
But, where there's money....there will always be someone ready to turn someone over.
That said, we may be being harsh - from what I read at the start of this thread, emails are not being returned - there "may" be a reason for this ??
