My Sonic Blue beauty (possibly)
#2
Due to ill health, and the fact that the NHS can't get their **** in gear, I'm likely to be unable to drive my car for months.
Rather than have it sitting in my driveway idle while it eats into my savings, I'm now having to consider the unthinkable option: selling it.
It took me a long while to find a car like this, and likelyhood is I'm not going to be able to find another like it.
There's a list of mods here, along with some which are currently on order and have yet to be fitted.
Hope you all can appreciate the dilemma I'm facing, so here goes.....
Impreza Turbo 4dr in rare Sonic Blue
2000 X reg
30,000 miles
FSH (Subaru dealer and last major service by Falkland Performance at 29,500. Oil change every 3,750 miles)
Dyno'd at 272bhp at Star Performance (print-out available)
Cat 1 alarm/immobiliser, Tracker Retrieve fitted
Usual UK 2000MY spec inc. Air conditioning, Elec windows/mirrors etc - parallel import from Holland
ECUTek3 remap by John Banks
Boost gauge fitted on A-pillar
Centre console gauge pack (oil temp, pressure & voltage)
Lambda Link
Scorpion d/p, Janspeed decat center, Magnex b/b
ITG panel filter
Blitz Iridium Spark plugs
Clear front and side indicators
STI red/clear rear lights
STI V rear spoiler
Fully colour coded
17" OZ Superleggeras with Toyo T1-S tyres
Eibach springs & Powerstation bumpsteer mod & track geometry setup (with receipt and geometry print out)
Mintex 1144 pads
Goodridge braided brake hoses
MRT Brake Support Bracket
Painted Calipers (red & white)
Wax Wizarded by previous owner, always hand washed, excellent condition, all bills, receipts etc
Still to fit:
P1 lip spoiler
VF28 Turbo (which has only covered 9,500mls)
APS Uprated Top Mount IC
APS Dual Dump Valve
Expected to push 300bhp once all mods in place
Price: You tell me.....this car will only go to
(a) Someone who will cherish this car like I do
(b) Someone who is seriously looking
As you can imagine, my illness won't allow me to give test-drives to all and sundry, so don't waste my time.
No cash, not interested.
Components will not be split either. Stuff to be fitted will be added to the car should I sell it regardless.
I'm open to offers. Car resides in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Those who have seen the car and been in it will agree that it's one in a million.

Being the previous owner, I can confirm this is a cracker of a car.
Really hope you don't have to sell it Theo but if you so I'd be seriously tempted to take it back off you.....

RB5320,
I'm having to go private for the consultation because the NHS gave me an appointment 12 MONTHS IN THE FUTURE !!!! >
I still face a 3 week wait for the private appointment, then on top of that, another possible 2-3 months for an MRI scan to find out the exact cause of the problem. I'd love to pay for that privately too, but I ain't got £1,500 to blow like that (but I'll buy a load of upgrades for the Scoob with it! )
You can see my dilemma: do I hang on that long with the car or flog it now and not lose more money......sob

My old car.... a beauty
I can confirm that I changed the oil every 3750 miles, and changed the brake and dif fluid every 7500.
Only ever hand washed and wax wizarded during my ownership.
Good luck with the sale... Tom H

I always hand washed it or used jet washes (carefully!)
Don't want any luck selling it, coz I really don't want to give her up unless I have to.
The next few days or so will determine whether I have to or not.

If I didn't already have 2 scoobies, I'd be very tempted !! Mail me the kind of money you're after and I'll let some friends know.

LOL @ SB
Hope you are feeling better Theo - although knowing the NHS they probably sent you home with an Elastoplast and told you to have a *nice hot bath* [/joke]

NO smart comments please. I'm trying to be helpful by keeping you updated. Theo is apparently in surgery tomorrow so he's unlikely to be able to respond to posts very soon.
Consider the car not for sale until you hear otherwise.
Cheers,
Gamm

Theo texted me last night saying he's getting some surgery so I'll pop into hospital sometime with grapes and print-offs of his favourite threads
