bmw 328i sport coupe 96N 73k boston green full bmw service history,
8 months bmw warranty,new engine fitted this week by bmw,new clutch, recent brake disc & pads, M3 champagne leather interior (3 months old)M3 mirrors(real ones cost £700 ) M3 spoiler, A.C.Shcnitzer short shift, plus usual M-tec goodies. air con & climate (dual controls),electric sunroof, windows. full closure alarm, cross spoke alloys. reason for sale is i need a car with 4 doors, otherwise would be very happy to keep it.
offers around £ 9995. or mybe part ex against a scooby or evo.
got pics will e mail them if anyones intrested.

the 6 cylinder E36 & a few others have steel liners in the cylinder block. the steel liners failed causeing lose of compression, a common fault known by bmw & in most cases replaced for free under warranty, some failed within 30k, some like mine took longer,luckily mine is still under warranty,however if you are looking to buy a 328 or similar 6 cylinder powered car make sure to check that the engine has been replaced or covered by a warranty.

Interesting. I was thinking of picking up a 535i for around 3-4k -- I assume this applies to these too?

not sure , but @ that price it probably would have gone by now if it was going to, i had a 535 se my89 110k great cars no problem with the engine, just kept going past every hot hatch on the road, only problem they have @ that age is the rubbers around the doors tend to leak otherwise probably the best cars on the road for the money.
