This would be the result.
I bought it last week and it is nothing short of a with wheels.
The problem is that it is too fast for any of my local car parks, and i know it will turn into a money pit for me, as you can imagine, 3 pounds of plastic and duralium hitting a kerb or post at full chat will not be a cheap hobby!to get the best out of it you need about 200 yards of straight.
It has three gears and will hit 80+, you can hear the gears coming in or out as you speed up or slow down. The car has had only about 1.5 lites of fuel through it and is like new.The bodyshell is the ford pickup, and i have sprayed it black and flourescent green.
All in the car stands me at £370 with radio gear and paint, sensible offers invited, as i said the car is brand new.All you would need is a glow starter (£15) and a cheap cordless drill to start the engine.
some details:
1/10th scale.
4WD.
belt drive.
.21 ( 3.5cc ) engine approx 2 bhp.
75cc tank gives about 6 minute run times.
disk brake.
CNC machined tuned pipe (exhaust)
suspension adjustable every which way for the serious RC buffs.
If there is any interest I'll post up some pics.
cheers,
mike.

I got the ford bodyshell for 2 reasons:
1. my brother and mate who I go out car park bashing with both have 1/10th scoobs, things might get a bit confusing in a pile up or incident.
2. the ford body was the ony one left in the shop, also i thought the pickup back would allow a bit more engine cooling.
seriousley people, these things are a blast and a real crowd pleaser. If anyones got around £300 quid of disposable to dispose of let me know, remember, if you get bored of it you can always bang it on scoobynet, they seem to go like hot cakes on here, admittedlely not at this price. This is the newest and quickest 1/10 nitro car available at the moment, unfortunately for me its a bit too fast- i am pretty new to this. I have another RC car which is nearly twice the size of this ( 1/6 scale) and i find it much easier to drive. Both cars have the same size engine and the 1/6 does about 60 mph and gets there 4kin quickly.I had been following various sites before i bought the fusion, and the RC buffs were quoting 0-60 times of under 2 secs for the 1/10 th fusion.
here is a video clip of a car that is SLOWER than mine, the car in the clip is an HPI Proceed, a 1/8 scale state of the art racer with the same size engine, but will cost about 600 quid. If you download the clip check the last run he does right at the end of the clip and make sure your speakers are turned UP!!: http://www.thecountyhouse.com/movie.htm

you'd better beleive it HK, a full 2BHP in something that weighs 1.5 kg.
or to put in another way thats about 750BHP/ton.
watch the clip,or better still get one and have a go with it- and then take the p1ss.
not everyone can afford the real thing.

MJ,
My flat mate is into all that sort of RC fun, I`ll see if he`s interested. One thing though he`s already got all the radio gear, would you be up selling it without it?
Also what soryt of figure are you looking for it?

jpidding,
so its even more of a beast then.
and yes, i would consider splitting the radio gear, but would rather not if possible.
