FS: STi-4 Type-R Sprint/Rally
#4
I have for a very reluctant sale the following vehicle.
Subaru Impreza WRX STi-4 Type-R. 1998. 20,000 miles
Sonic Blue and White.
All the usual Type-R extras such as Adjustable Diff Lock, Water Spray, Strut Brace, etc.
In addition it has the following FIA approved extras:
Motordrive Rally Seats
TSL 6 Point harnesses and pads
SPA plumbed-in Extinguisher system + Hand held extinguisher
Electric cut-off system
Safety Devices Bolt/Welded-in Roll Cage with padding.
Additional extras as follows:
GSE/MG style central roof vent
Terratrip Professional Intercom with practice headsets
Lamco Turbo Boost Gauge
Lamco central 3 Gauge Pod
AP Rally competition clutch
Spax (RSX Sprint) Adjustable (height and damping) suspension
EBC Drilled and Grooved disks all round with EBC Red front pads and EBC Black rear pads
Goodridge Braided brake lines throughout
Servo Brake Bracket
Scoobysport Group N Downpipe
Jetex Stainless Steel straight through exhaust from downpipe back
Momo Steering Wheel
Power Engineering ECU (I do not have spec. on this as was in the car when I bought it)
Sparco Mudflaps
There is also a spares package with the car as follows:
3 sets of MY99 standard alloys - 1 set of 4 in Gold, 1 set of 4 in Silver and 1 set of 4 in White.
All shod with Bridgestone RE010 road legal tread tyres + Gold wheels in Toyo Proxes with plenty of tread left. Also a few spare tyres with varying levels of tread.
Front bumper (in white)
Rear and side skirts (in white)
Damaged Aluminium bonnet
Original STi downpipe (for MOT).
Please note: This car has no Air Con, very little interior trim and has been stripped for use as a competition car. It has Sprinted (very successfully) for two years and is very, very close to being ready for rallying (clubman or Group N).
This is a seriously quick Scoob compared to other Type-R's, and would make an excellent track car - but is nearly ready for so much more. I have not had it on the rolling road but estimates from other people who have driven it and fellow competitors at sprints and rallies say 0-60 in the early 4 second bracket and over 320bhp.
I don't think this car could be driven as a road car as it is too aggressive and too noisy and very brutal but it is real fun to drive! Perhaps I am just getting old.
I am looking for offers and for someone to take the whole lot as a package. It is ready to run in competition with no problems, and really does shift.
Other commitments mean I cannot spend the money to rally it next season which was the original plan. It is taxed until the end of the year and has an MOT until next March and is totally road legal.
Please e-mail me if you require further information or pictures.
Many thanks
