Red face

Johnny, these turbos are the standard fixture on MY97 UK cars onwards, the STi runs a VF series turbo (depends on what year to which type in some cases).

Cool

Johnny,

Your car uses and is mapped for an IHI (probably VF24 or VF28) turbo, switching to a td04 would be step int he wrong direction.

Question

And the question about their condition? What's their history?

one is from a 99 car with 15,000 miles and the other from my own car with about 30,000 miles. Both are in good condition the one from my car was taken off as I replaced it with a STI v5 one and the other came from a rear damaged car and the engine is now in my car.
