Good Luck with the sale Simon,
I'll also be going down the same route in 6 months or so. I'm finding it very difficult to find a Golf GT TDi or A3 TDi Sport '98' with less than 60,000miles for less than 10K
P.s. I hope I don't have as much trouble as you selling your car. There's not as many in the North East
Cheers

thanks for that rickyD
have enjoyed the car for the last 2 years, but can't justify having 2 cars when we can get away with 1, so were selling her car as well (pug 205 diesel) and getting something in between
am i still really asking too much for this car?
have been offered £8.5k so anything over would be a bonus
its in the autotrader on thursday so i'll see what comes of that

Simon,
IMO the ScoobyNet brings the price of our cars down unfortunately as far as I've seen since the last 15 months. There is also the fact that the MY01 seems to be getting more and more popular as time goes by.
I've had mine nearly two years and I'm still loving it.
Good Luck again!
Cheers

What sort of security has it got? I'm in the market for a new scoob as mine was nicked and written off recently (lovely 97 P UK), and the insurance needs a tracker fitted.
Leeroy (pi**ed off and a bit sad at loss)

I went this route scoob to golf tdi, miss scoob BIG TIME but you can tinker with a Golf tdi so much that will put a smile back on your face, not scoob peformance/road holding but when drivers see it is a tdi they do get ****ed and you can park it with out thinking, will it there when I get back.My Scoob was doing avg 18 to the gallon, tdi does between 48 to 53.Upgrades 90-112,110-130 ish,115 to 145 and 150 up to 190 but will kill gear box (150 at a sensible upgrade is about 167 bhp ) all these are a simple chip up grade. If you buy a 150 tdi and upgrade it, the touqe is is the same as an evo.
As I said before good luck with the sale.
