This is a direct replacement for the original ****, just unscrew it. This then fits on the gear stick with allen bolts, the gator don't need to be fixed to the **** as it will sit nicely underneath it with no gap.
Jason your car sounds like all TVR's awesome![EEK!](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Have you got one of your mates to do a drive by yet so you can hear how good it sounds from outside?...you should![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Hmmm....sorry not entirely sure I understand how this gaitor business works. Are we talking about the leatherette gaitor on the later cars as opposed to the rubber ones on the early cars...?
The leatherette one needs to be held up by the gear **** otherwise it just flops about (oo er).....like the look of it but don't want to go buying the wrong thing...

I've got an MY99 with a momo gear **** on, on mine if you take off the gear **** the gator stays in place, in fact it actually sits a bit higher without the **** on.
When the **** is fitted the gator is actually pushed down by the ****, hence it stays in place![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Ah....I'll check but I wonder it that's because of the actual selector stick thickness.
I'm only asking as I've had various gear sticks off over the last couple of days whilst refitting my standard shifter and then fitting the GGR quickshift I had to another car. The standard shifter is a lot thicker up until the screw thread at the top - it might be this that holds the gaitor up. The GGR one is the same diameter all the way down so wouldn't hold up the gaitor.
Seeing as I was enquiring after it for a P1 I'd need to check the P1 shifter first...not getting it til the end of the week, so unless anyone can confirm this will fit on a P1 I'll have to leave it

Zipper ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Yes, it will fit on any gear shaft, simply unscrew the existing one, place this on the shaft and their is 3 allen grub screws that you do up to secure it in place. The coller on the base of the **** then screws over the top of the screws.
