Thanx Sue, i'm glad that i made the sale easier for you (with me being such a nice bloke ) Don't worry about your car, i promise that it will always be treated well and wrapped in cotton wool. Its everything that i hoped it would be...and more, i'm a very lucky man! I'm sure that you'll meet it again one day.
Oliver, I did buy it from this site, it was advertised on here over a month ago showing that if you stick with it, a buyer will come along.
Good luck mate, although i think you're mad selling such a great car. I cant see me ever selling mine !
PS, stick with the asking price, IMO its a bargain.

Its an X reg (sep 2000), 15k, 6 pot ap's, 18's, ss/prodrive exhaust, 3 gauge pod, and its immaculate. I paid very similar to your asking price.
If you don't mind me asking, why are you selling yours? what could you possibly replace it with?
My second corner this week ! (how sad!)

I'm not sure there's a 'set to drop in price' time ahead ie one day they're worth £x and the next they're worth £x-3000 or whatever.
Let's *SAY* they should drop to 50% of their value in 3 years, so at £31K list, they drop £15.5K in 36 months, ie a natural depreciation of some £430/month. Assuming simple depreciation ie constant per month. Of course, some people didn't pay that, others have mods that they want some recovery one etc etc - but it's a guide
As everyone's so convinced at the moment they're rubbish cars and not worth the metal/plastic they're built from, let's make that at least £500/month so you should be able to pick up (average miles blah blah blah)
- a 12 month old one for £25K
- a 24 month old one for £19K
- a 36 month old one for £13K
...facts of relatively expensive car ownership.
PS could have a 51 plate, 13 month old one for sale, priced as above Post here if interested, but you'ld have to bung Oliver T. something, 'cos it's his For Sale thread, not mine

PLeeeeeze oliver!
There is not a P1 built that deserves to be described as 'cheap'!!!!
Best of luck with the sale, I hope it goes to a good home.
These are the best......ttt,

The point is people are expecting too much on them and its the people who buy them around now who will get thier fingers burned. Don't get me wrong I'm looking too get one myself but am wary of what I pay. If you look at the amount of P1s built and the amount on sale in auto trader I think a lot of owners are aware of this and I'm sure many traders would say the same. What Oliver says is right, in relation to most other W reg cars his Y reg is reasonable but its the owners of these earlier cars who are expecting too much money.

Loddthick, keep your smart ar$e comments to yourself. I hate when people invade other people's 'For Sale' threads with bull. There will always be someone who can claim they can get something cheaper.
You should be able to sell this regardless of what people like this say. .....Buy my Audi S3....why? hardly a classic, plus its from a class below. Comparing a P1 to an S3... the audacity.....
