Black Knight

CD R - whats that

Do you mean MP3 - downloaded or copied cd's - if so I thought all CD players read these - I have not come across a system that doesnt - even my 20 year old Technics system (still excellent) can read these - maybe I'm barking up the worng tree

Can anyone explain if it does have CDR - didnt come with a manual! being a Jap import

Johnny B - try £70 and you have a sale - you pay postage - or I ccould meet you in Scotland somewhere - I'll be up there in the next 2 weeks!!!, before I pop off to the States for a while

I have one and for everyones info they play CD-Rs. They sound ok too.
Nice units.
Just a thought what did you replace it with and how did you get around the double din?

I first replaced with an Alpine DDin unit - a CD and MD player - excellent - but only had a bass pre-out

Then went for a single din with hole - another Alpine

Then put in a Subaru single din spacer - a bit of black plastic specially designed for the job - from any Scooby dealer - about £10

Then I put in another Alpine head unit - a 7969R - nice unit - does it do different colours? - have not read instruction book yet - has digital time correction and other bits...
