Perhaps its something to do with rb5
as well as the
rev counter with wr on we get this as a present
but its not menntioned in the fact sheet

The scratches are probably caused by grit embedded in a pad in the door, which I assume is there as a guide for the window when it moves.
Been mentioned in a few threads - some people have made a warranty claim for it I believe. Mines got a few on the drivers window.

its a common fault in the subaru's that the window gets scratched over time.
could be due to the fact that the pannel on the inside gets lose and rubs against the glass when wound down (not just grit)
