Yep...Its time to say a reluctant and fond fairwell to my P1.
Its a Y plate, 2001, I've owned from new with full subaru service history. I've done 16K miles in the car, stunned at her B road ability, marvelled at the long touqe range in each gear allowing both hands on the wheel more often! She really is a mind blowing car.
I've had the brakes upgraded with awesome AP racing 6 pot calipers and 330mm discs that will stop you at about 1.5mph/metre in the dry...this feels damm good and takes some getting used to! I've not felt the need to modify anything else, being more than satisfied with the available power. This car is PERFECT for going where you want and not having to queue behind anything, overtaking comes automatically after a while.
Recently serviced, and taxed until March 2003, plus you'll get the remaining 2 years of warrenty!
EVO magazine borrowed the car for a feature in issue 45, July of this year if you want to see some pictures of her (page 66 onwards).
In view of the one careful owner, low mileage, superb brakes and condition of this car, I'm looking for an offer in the ballpark of £22,500. Evo mag rated this car within a whisker of beating the 911 Turbo and Lambo Diablo 6.0 in their Car Of The Year award last year when all 3 cars came out. A true classic can be yours.
I live in the midlands next to the A1 if you want to inspect the car, and if someone will tell me how to put pictures on this thing I can do that to!

Paul - gorgeous car indeed, lots of gadgets. I've not quite decided on what I want next, but I think I'm going down the Elise 160 route for a different driving experience. God knows if I had the money I'd keep the P1 and get a Lotus as well, but hey... so thanks for the offer but I'll decline. Hope you find what you're looking for.

I've not just conjoured a price out of thin air, but have investigated what other P1's are selling for in Top Marques mag and internet sites. It's not set in stone - I will negotiate, so no more negative comments about price please!

Been doing more research into P1 prices if you get them from dealerships. If you want you can get a similar mileaged car (10,000), that is ONE YEAR OLDER, from a scooby dealership in Northamptonshire for £25,000!
Or you could buy mine which is a year younger and pay £22,500...

I took the car for a drive last night to see some friends...my god...I cant believe I'm even considering selling her! 70 miles of hedged country B roads feeding in the power through bends feeling the rear squat down as I'm pressed into my seat...It's very addictive and very satisfying.

Agreed. That's a decent price for a good car.
I just don't see what purpose your post serves llodrik. I'll keep an eye out for when you come to sell yours - I'm sure we'll be able to get the price well below both your asking price and the car's value![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
BTTT anyway![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Did I mention 3rd gear?
Its amazing, and the perfect gear for 75% of British B roads, takes you anywhere from 50mph to... well, I would imagine on an speed-limit-free autobahn upto about 95mph ... dismissed in one long surge of power. Amazing.

... and don't even get me started on 2nd gear!!!!!!
Its so brutal the way you're pushing into the back of the seat that it can be hard to take a breath, especially first timers!
Dropping the clutch in first gear with moderate revs dialed takes you in about a second to 30mph but its over too quickly to notice, then you slot her in second and - powwwwwww! - you get a chance to feel the force on your body and then its 70mph, and time to change to 3rd.

Needless to say, the contents of the above 2 posts will undoubtably make the "Ladies" squeal with joy and fear... they love it really, they just having trouble expressing their emotions!
P.S. Yes, sorry especially to my sister, and the rather hasty way you had to bundle out of the car to be sick on the verge. Those pesky darned Welsh roads...

Did I mention it has this TOTALLY useless button that makes the digital clock on the dashboard a little bit brighter but not bright enough to make a difference to anyone except maybe a rare strain of light sensitive bacteria found at the bottom of some oceanic trench??
Comon guys - think about it!
You could own the car with this totally useless button!!!!!!!!!

With the Universe being the size it is with a virtually infinite number of planets out there I am a strong believer that there are other life forms out there, there MUST be. So I won't be surprised to recieve my first offer on the P1 from a gelatinous orange fleshed alien breadbin from the planet Zeebooa before I recieve an offer from someone from planet Earth...
Hello...is anybody out there??

Forget to mention - this car comes with a "LIFETIME GAWP WARRENTY". Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen, thats right...this cars aggressive yet sleek looks and throbby growl will assure you a lifetime of being noticed and stared at by pedestrians as well as being flashed and "thumbed up" by passing motorists ranging from humble JCB diggers to Lotus Turbo Esprit's (one of the most memorable drives through Wales playing with above Lotus - superb).
Please note: Gawp Effect has no influence upon pedestrians with bags on their heads whilst wearing ear muffs, anyone whom thinks vegetarian sausage rolls are A Good Thing, and my boss who said "I cant understand why you got that car, surely it's just for getting from A to B?" ... nuff said I think!
