Looks like a possible RS500 Intercooler or an upgraded intercooler, cause if my memeory serves mecorrect the AMAL valve is normally mounted on the intercooler, but in this cae it's mounted to the inner wing, next to the actuator.
Not sure about the red rocker cover tho' these were only on the earlt one. I think the later ones had green or blue...green signifying the change to unleaded.
Oh! and the turbo damper bracket is missing...stops the turbo trying to fling itself off the exhaust manifold...

ok took this car in today, white J plater, i know **** all bout it part from what i can see, it has big brakes front and rear, stainless, swirlpots and all the other wered stainless bits under bonnet, its also got M.A.D stickers all over it, leather, NO MOT AND TAX, and the bad bit is the gearbox is naff, all gears work apart from 4th so needs another really, pete @ ashfield wants £250 for a box....... it goes really well and has some seriously loud chatter, i have some history with it, has a clifford with remote start and turbo timer but f@ck knows how it all works, see the pics and judge for yourself, drives very well although to be truthfull i think i can here a noisy balljoint, nothing to do but im just bein honest. the car is hpi clear, apart from that a damn good clean and a loving polish etc

offers dudes, and you may be right bout the rs500 thingy, aparantly its behr that make em and its stamped on there, so that may be one thing solved.
as for the engines i think its tha late 92's that started green top, which also means she done need a cat :-)
